Research On The Influence Of The Establishment Of The Pilot Free Trade Zone On Green Technology Innovation Of Enterprises

China’s economy is changing from high-speed growth to high-quality development.The 19 th CPC National Congress once again stressed the need to promote the five in one overall layout and speed up the construction of ecological civilization system.We must accelerate the progress of green technology and build a green technology innovation system.Solving the contradiction between environmental pollution and economic development will mainly rely on green technological innovation.As a high-level open platform to promote the overall opening of China’s coastal,riverside,border and inland areas,the pilot free trade zone is a test field to explore high-quality economic development.Studying the impact of the important national strategy of the pilot Free Trade Zone on enterprise green technology innovation is of great practical significance to promote China’s green economic development.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part systematically combs the literature related to free trade pilot zone and green technology inno vation,clarifies the research ideas,and lays the foundation for follow-up research;The second part explains the theoretical basis of the impact of the pilot Free Trade Zone on green technology innovation and puts forward the research hypothesis of this paper based on the combing of the implementation policies of the pilot free trade zone and the exploration of the internal and external dynamic mechanism of green technology innovation;The third part explains the empirical model design and variable select ion,makes descriptive analysis and correlation analysis on the main variables,and understands the basic situation of the main variables.In the fourth part,based on the enterprise panel data from 2005 to 2020,the multi period double difference method is used to verify the research hypothesis of this paper.This paper analyzes the intermediary mechanism of the impact of the establishment of free trade pilot zone on enterprise green technology innovation from four aspects:environmental regulation,financing constraints,tax preference and human capital.The fifth part gives policy suggestions based on the research conclusions to further improve the construction of free trade pilot zone and promote the progress of green technology.This paper finds that the establishment of the pilot free trade zone has significantly promoted the green technology innovation of enterprises in the zone.After eliminating the sample self selection error,conducting the placebo test,excluding other policy effects,and replacing the explained variable and proxy variable,the establishment of the pilot free trade zone still plays a role in promoting the green technology innovation of enterprises.In terms of intermediary mechanism,this paper believes that the green technology innovation effect of enterprises in the pilot free trade zone is mainly realized by increasing the awareness of enterprise environmental management,alleviating enterprise financing constraints,implementing enterprise tax incentives and promoting the accumulation of human capital.The results of heterogeneity analysis show that the main body of green technology innovation effect of enterprises in the pilot free trade zone is state-owned enterprises and high-carbon industry enterprises;The regional regressio n shows that the establishment of the pilot free trade zone has significantly promoted the green technology innovation of enterprises in the eastern and western regions.The innovations of this paper are as follows: First,identify the impact of the national strategy of establishing a pilot free trade zone on the green technology innovation of micro enterprises for the first time,provide a quantitative basis for the evaluation of the effect of green technology innovation of enterprises established in the f ree trade pilot zone,and make a useful supplement to the relevant literature of pilot free trade zone and enterprise green technology innovation.Second,based on the heterogeneity analysis of the nature of enterprise property rights,regions and industry categories,we can effectively identify the characteristics of the establishment of enterprise subjects in the pilot free trade zone to promote enterprise green technology innovation.Thirdly,it explains that the pilot free trade zone establishes an intermediary mechanism to promote enterprise green technology innovation from four aspects: environmental regulation,financing constraints,tax incentives and human capital,and explores the path for the policy to play a role.
