| Construction workers are the primary responsible subject of safety accidents on the construction site. They engage in some unsafe behaviors in the production process, which is one of the main factors contributing to safety accidents. The construction industry is the cornerstone of the national economy of our country, creating a sizable number of jobs for the society.Controlling the risky behavior of the younger generation of construction workers, who are gradually taking over as the dominant force on the job site, can significantly lower the risk of accidents. The main causes of the new generation of construction workers’ unsafe behavior will therefore be revealed in this paper using the social cognition theory as a foundation.Based on the existing issues, effective control measures will then be proposed in order to achieve effective control of them and, ultimately, realize the enterprise’s safe production.Initially, defining the meaning and traits of the new generation of construction workers as well as the scope and impact of risky behavior using the literature research approach.Twelve research hypotheses were proposed from six dimensions based on the social cognition theory: self-efficacy,job satisfaction, family expectations, social identity, safety non-participation behavior, and safety non-compliance behavior. The impact mechanism model of unsafe behavior of the new generation of construction workers was established.Second,to get the empirical data,we use both online and offline techniques. After preprocessing the data with SPSS,we test the model with AMOS software. The appropriate preventive strategies are then presented in accordance with the findings of the empirical investigation. The empirical results show that :(1)Self-efficacy has a significant positive impact on the safety non-participation behavior and safety non-compliance behavior of the new generation of construction workers, while job satisfaction has a significant negative impact on safety non-participation behavior and safety non-compliance behavior;(2)There is a significant negative correlation between family expectation and social identity and the safety non-participation behavior and safety non-compliance behavior of the new generation of construction workers;(3)Family expectation and social identity have a significant inhibitory effect on the self-efficacy of the new generation of construction workers, and have a significant role in promoting job satisfaction. Therefore, this paper puts forward the following suggestions : fully arouse the positiveness of the new generation of construction workers to take part in security education and training, and improve the cognitive level of the new generation of construction workers;improve the wage payment system, reasonable safety period,to meet the physiological needs of the new generation of construction workers;implement the safety management system, ensure safety protection equipment, improve the working environment, and ensure the safety needs of the new generation of construction workers;correct professional identity, strengthen humanistic care, and improve the sense of belonging of the new generation of construction workers.Figure [7] table [30] reference [110]... |
