In recent years,the inheritance and revitalization of Shu embroidery in Chongqing has attracted much attention.This paper will describe and analyze the changes of identity and social status of embroidery inheritors and social identity brought about by social changes from the perspective of sociology,so as to explain the important role played by individuals and groups in the cultural inheritance and development.Identity is a sign of birth or social position,and identity is to express a sense of belonging and behavior pattern similar or different from others.Therefore,identity is a sociological concept,and its research spans many disciplines such as philosophy and psychology.Different disciplines have different interpretations of identity.In China,identity,as an ideology,is the main part of Chinese national cultural spirit and an important moral code of conduct.Its role is continuous,and this kind of continuous role also condenses into a kind of social complex in the depth of people's psychology.There is a folk saying that "three hundred and sixty lines lead to the number one scholar".Craftsmen obtain a certain cultural identity by virtue of their own skills,which constitutes the inheritance pedigree of mentors and industries.Its importance has become the psychological motivation for craftsmen to maintain and attach great importance to in their life.Social identity theory believes that a person's social group membership and group category are an important part of a person's self-concept,and advocates that people strive to obtain or maintain positive social identity,so as to enhance self-esteem.This paper mainly focuses on the main inheritors of Chongqing Shu embroidery,such as gender based occupational differentiation,division of social labor,social status differences,etc.,and analyzes their roles in different historical stages of social changes.It can be seen that the concept of "identity" has a strong tension,radiates in all areas of people's daily life,affects people's behavior,and is promoted by the society This paper discusses the relationship between identity and social culture,the legitimacy of identity or role,the consensus of identity or role,and the impact of this consensus on social relations.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first part is introduction.This paper mainly discusses the significance and basis of the topic selection of "Research on the social identity and career change of the inheritors of Chongqing Shu embroidery",the research status at home and abroad,theoretical methods and sources of historical data,and puts forward the basic ideas and framework of the paper as well as the definition of the concept.The second part is embroidery--the social activities of ancient women's life.This paper traces the life style of men farming and women weaving,analyzes the relationship between women and embroidery(family,society and life)under the norms of women's morality and other gender systems,and combs the relationship between women and embroidery in different social strata,such as jingongcheng,which is run by the government of the ruling class,literati embroidery of the gentry and officialdom,folk embroidery of "needlework of every family,needlework of every family" at the bottom of the society,and embroidery as an industry The male role of embroidery(the "quangong bureau" in Qing Dynasty).The third part is the period of the Republic of China.When Chongqing was founded in1929,Sichuan embroidery in Chengdu gave birth to Chongqing Branch.During the war of resistance against Japan,Chongqing was the wartime capital.Shu embroidery in Chongqing developed with other kinds of embroidery in other areas,such as "random needle embroidery" of Bishan regular art college,which made folk embroidery the first of its kind in Higher Education in Chongqing and had a far-reaching social impact.The fourth part expounds that after the founding of the People's Republic of China,the factory trained a group of excellent female embroidery technicians by the way of master with apprentice.Thus began the identity transformation from apprentice to technician.After the reform and opening up,the factory closed down,and the technicians in the factory made a living by themselves.The technicians who were the inheritors turned into the self-employed and training tutors of the workshop,playing the dual roles of embroidery mother and business.The assessment of social identity of senior craftsmen,masters of Arts and crafts,inheritors of intangible cultural heritage has won the social recognition and respect for inheritors,and also enhanced their social and cultural values.The fifth part states the inheritance way of contemporary inheritors.On the one hand,Chongqing Shu embroidery has its own inheritance pedigree,such as apprentice inheritance,enterprise group inheritance,school and social education;on the other hand,Chongqing Shu embroidery needs to be people-oriented,constantly improve the realm and connotation of humanistic spirit,and expand the regeneration mechanism of Chongqing Shu embroidery in the direction of personalization,so as to integrate into contemporary life and serve the society.The sixth part is the summary.Chongqing Shu embroidery has a long history,carrying women's delicate aesthetic taste and intelligence.Xiuniang's professional identity in various historical periods is directly related to social changes.After the 21 st century,with the state's emphasis on traditional culture and the guidance of policies,the sense of social identity and social identity of the inheritors of Shu embroidery in Chongqing show a trend of diversification,which plays an increasingly important role in the continuation of Shu embroidery culture and the cultivation of talents.To sum up,for inheritors,the confirmation of self-identity and the cognition of their group are closely related to the changes of social culture.Identity,to some extent,is equivalent to the role,and a person's occupation is the symbol of identity.Therefore,there are two main aspects for analysis and research from this perspective.On the one hand,the psychological recognition of the profession and the psychological and material satisfaction brought by the profession;on the other hand,the recognition of the social opponent artist's professional identity refers to the public's understanding and cognition of the status and functional contribution of a profession in the society.Therefore,the interpretation of the influencing factors of identity must consider the role of social and cultural background.When the inheritor's social identity improves,the inheritor's social responsibility and sense of mission will be enhanced,and the social benefits of traditional culture communication will also be significantly improved.
