Since the human industrial revolution, the products created through industrial production, although to a certain extent enrich human life, but bring a large amount of carbon emissions, excessive carbon emissions on the ecological environment and even politics, economy and other aspects of the increasingly serious negative impact.Faced with the carbon emissions generated by nearly three decades of rapid development,China has begun to look for ways to reduce them. This paper conducts relevant research, explains relevant concepts and theories, and analyzes the current situation of China’s carbon emissions, through a series of analyses,we learn about the impact of China’s carbon emissions on the world, and explore the actual reasons for China’s carbon emissions by energy category and region.Further analysis of these reasons, two important factors affecting carbon emission reduction: urbanization level and industrial structure, combined with panel data model results and theoretical analysis to obtain the role of these two factors on carbon emissions, the results show that China’s urbanization degree, secondary industry proportion and carbon emissions are significantly positively correlated, among the factors affecting carbon emissions, urbanization rate has the greatest impact on carbon emissions, followed by the proportion of secondary industry, the proportion of urban population and carbon emissions have a significant positive relationship. This promotion role is reflected in three aspects: different levels of household energy consumption, different energy consumption structures, and different commercial activities and infrastructure. Therefore,it is recommended to strengthen the attention to the next direction of urbanization in China, and make the green and low-carbon transformation of cities and towns faster from the above three aspects.Another influencing factor is the relationship between the proportion of added value of the secondary industry and carbon emissions, because most of China is still in the second stage of industrialization, most of them adopt extensive expansion, and the industrial economic growth obtained through the combustion of many fossil fuels produces huge carbon emissions.According to the six research aspects of this paper and the actual situation of China’s carbon emissions, combined with the data analysis results,a series of measures and suggestions such as optimizing the urbanization process and industrial structure are put forward,so as to contribute to China’s goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
