With the development of China’s social and political economy and the increasing awareness of environmental protection,the development goal of "carbon neutrality and carbon peaking" has been raised to a strategic level nationwide.In the face of the 14th Five-Year Plan period and the new "double-cycle" development model at home and abroad,we need to promote the optimisation of the industrial structure through macro-control,so as to ensure that the operation and development of enterprises are in line with the national industrial layout.On the one hand,we need to pay more attention to the mining industry at the macro level,and on the other hand,mining companies need to take the initiative to participate in national development and industrial development planning,and to plan mining resources and industrial chains in order to improve their industrial competitiveness.Jilin Jinlong Mining Company has been engaged in the iron ore business for several years,and its business situation is relatively stable,and its development history is highly representative of private mining companies,but due to the rapid changes in the external market and the influence of the industrial cycle,there is great uncertainty in the company’s development.Therefore,this paper takes Jilin Jinlong Mining Company as the research object,which has strong practical significance.Led by the new era,new situation and new technology,Jinlong’s embarking on a sustainable development path is an important issue facing the company at present.Under the current external environment and existing internal resource conditions,in order to maintain high growth and sustainability of business operations,it is necessary to plan the formulation and implementation of the company’s long-term development strategy in an integrated manner.This paper first analyses the external environment,using the PEST model and the five forces model to analyse the environment faced by the company,and the value chain to analyse the resources and capabilities of Golden Dragon Mining Company itself,and conducts a SWOT analysis based on the main internal and external influencing factors of the company.After the SWOT analysis,this study found that there are more external threats than opportunities and more internal strengths than weaknesses for Jinlong Mining Company.The external threats mainly come from the cyclical risks of the industry,the need for ecological and environmental protection and the reduction of the demographic dividend.After analysis and consideration of the company,it was concluded that Jinlong Mining Company Limited should focus on the "ST" development strategy and choose a diversification strategy to avoid external risks by using internal advantages.It is recommended that the company should diversify into fluorspar mining,which has a higher commercial value and lower development costs,as a second major business to develop in synergy with its first major business,iron ore mining.At the same time,relevant recommendations were made for the business development strategy of Jinlong Mining Company,suggesting that the enterprise should increase investment and acquisition to support the development of its second main business and optimise its corporate structure,as well as increase investment in science and technology to build a smart mine,etc.,as well as establishing safeguards for the company’s organisational structure,comprehensive budget management,talent training mechanism and corporate culture construction in order to safeguard the implementation of the strategy.It is expected to provide development direction for its future strategic development,and also provide practical reference for the development of other mining enterprises. |
