At present,China’s iron ore self-sufficiency rate is low,and it is heavily dependent on overseas imports,with an external dependence of more than 80%.The cyclical fluctuation of the iron ore industry is obvious,and with the "post epidemic era" and the continuous impact of Sino US trade friction,it brings great uncertainty to the ore supply side.Facing the "14th five year plan",in the new development pattern of "double circulation" at home and abroad,the Chinese government continues to promote the upgrading of industrial structure through macroeconomic policy adjustment,so as to ensure that the operation and management of enterprises keep up with the development of the times and conform to the national industrial layout.With social progress and economic development,people’s awareness of safety and environmental protection has increased year by year.The development goal of "carbon neutralization and carbon peak" has been put on the agenda.The industrial policies of governments at all levels have put forward many requirements for enterprises with high energy consumption and high pollution.Mining enterprises should actively integrate into the national strategy and industrial layout,and plan the layout of mineral resources and industrial chain in advance,so as to enhance the competitive position of the industry.C Mining Group is a group company with iron ore as its main business.It has been deeply cultivated in the iron ore industry for many years and its internal operation is relatively stable.However,due to the drastic changes in the external environment and the impact of the industry cycle,the future development of the enterprise is facing great uncertainty risks.How to innovate the development strategy of mining companies and step into the road of sustainable development under the guidance of new era,new situation and new technology is the core issue of C mining group and the research content of this thesis.In this thesis,PEST model is used to analyze the external environment of C mining group,five forces model is used to analyze the industry competition environment,and C Mining Group’s own resources and capabilities are analyzed.SWOT analysis is carried out in combination with internal and external key influencing factors,the strategic positioning of"mining comprehensive service provider" is determined,and the dual main industry development strategy suitable for C Mining Group is put forward,On the basis of iron ore business,actively arrange lithium resources with development potential as the second main business,and build a two wheel drive mode of "iron ore+lithium ore",so as to hedge the industry cycle risk of iron ore and realize the transformation from a single iron ore mining and processing enterprise to a multi mineral comprehensive enterprise.Based on its strategic positioning,C Mining Group has put forward a five-year development goal.It plans to achieve a revenue target of 5 billion by 2025,increase the proportion of lithium output value to 20%,and establish a dual main business pattern.In order to support the achievement of strategic objectives,C mining group needs to change the previous extensive concept of operation and management,formulate implementation measures for strategy implementation,provide guarantee measures for strategy realization through core competence construction,and provide competitive products and services closely around the actual needs of customers,so as to adapt to the competitive situation under the new normal.
