In recent years,the construction of ecological civilization has been raised to the level of national will,and building an ecological civilization is not only a development concept,but also a strategy for governing the country.With the background that education is an important way to promote national policies,ecological civilization education is an inevitable choice driven by ecological civilization policies.As an important venue for ecological civilization education,the classroom teaching of some majors in secondary vocational schools,such as environmental protection,plays an important role in the cultivation of ecologically-oriented talents and the popularization of ecological civilization concepts.The major related to environmental protection in secondary vocational schools should rely on their professional characteristics,respond positively to national strategic requirements,and build an ecological civilization education model that is in line with the construction of ecological civilization.Therefore,it is important to explore the current situation of how ecological civilization education is integrated into the classroom teaching of major related to environment protection in secondary vocational school and to propose targeted optimization strategies,which would improve the curriculum system of related major and enhance students’ ecological civilization literacy.This study uses Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization thought,constructivist theory and humanistic theory as the theoretical basis,and adopts a questionnaire survey method to construct an index system for investigating the current situation of ecological civilization education in major related to environmental protection in secondary vocational schools from four levels: ecological civilization knowledge,ecological civilization awareness,ecological civilization behavior and the implementation of ecological civilization education.A questionnaire survey was conducted among three secondary vocational schools in Qingdao and Xuzhou.Further interviews were conducted in terms of teachers’ awareness and implementation of ecological civilization education.Based on the questionnaires and teacher interviews,we summarize the current situation of ecological civilization education major related to environmental protection in secondary vocational schools,gain a deeper insight into the real-life dilemmas of ecological civilization education major related to environmental protection major related to environmental protection in secondary vocational schools,and attempt to construct corresponding optimization strategies.The study found that there are still certain difficulties in ecological civilization education major related to environmental protection in secondary vocational schools.This study analyzes the difficulties in five aspects of ecological civilization education:(1)teaching objectives are still unclear;(2)teaching contents are not rich enough;(3)teaching methods lack innovation;(4)the form of teaching assessment is simple;(5)The transformation of students’ knowledge into action in terms of ecological civilization needs improvement.Based on the findings above,this study proposes some relevant and operational countermeasures based on the following four levels:(1)in terms of teaching objectives,through improving teaching design,stimulating subjective motivation and matching personality development,and cultivating an ecological personality that integrates knowledge and action;and thus cultivate an ecological personality that integrates knowledge and action(2)As for the content of ecological civilization education,deepen the content of ecological civilization education based on professional courses;dig deeper into educational resources to enrich ecological civilization education cases;the value-led role of the content should be strengthened by relying on the teaching materials of environmental protection professional courses;(3)When it comes to the means of ecological civilization education,improve students’ participation through anchor teaching;focus on promoting ecological civilization education in practice and build a practical teaching system.(4)Actively implement diversified evaluation subjects,focus on the comprehensiveness of evaluation content,and combine process-oriented evaluation with outcome evaluation.Finally,this study takes the Introduction to Environmental Protection course for secondary vocational schools as an example,and selects the specific chapters“Treatment and disposal methods of common solid waste” and “Water pollution and pollutants” to carry out teaching design and implement the optimization strategy of integrating ecological civilization education in secondary level environmental protection major. |
