With the advent of the knowledge economy and the advancement of the information age,human resources,information technology,and innovative achievements have gradually become globally shared resources and wealth.The upgrading of industrial structure and the transformation of production methods have put forward new requirements for the specifications and quality of talents to be trained in vocational education.It is guided by professional needs and focuses on cultivating innovative practical ability.In the " Opinions on Promoting the Highquality Development of Modern Vocational Education," it is clearly proposed to innovate teaching methods and encourage students to actively participate in various social practice activities.The implementation of case teaching is an important measure to innovate teaching models and methods and an important way to cultivate students’ innovative practical ability.Case teaching emphasizes the subjectivity and initiative of students’ learning,pays attention to the connection between theoretical knowledge and real life,and focuses on cultivating students’ innovative practical ability,which is in line with the training objectives of vocational education.This study makes an in-depth study on the application of case teaching in the teaching of environmental protection majors in secondary vocational schools from two dimensions of theory and practice.The literature analysis method is used to sort out and summarize the domestic and foreign research on innovative practical ability and case teaching,define the concepts of innovative practical ability and case teaching,and determine the theoretical basis of multiple intelligences,cognitive-discovery learning,learning by doing and learning transfer.Based on the theoretical research,the questionnaire survey method and classroom observation method are selected as the main research methods.According to the specific implementation links of case teaching,the questionnaire and classroom observation scale are constructed to understand the implementation status of case teaching of environmental protection majors in secondary vocational schools based on the cultivation of innovative practical ability,including the implementation of case teaching in environmental protection majors in secondary vocational schools and the cultivation of students’ innovative practical ability under case teaching.Summarize and analyze the problems and causes in the current situation.In view of the problems in the current situation,this paper puts forward the optimization principles and countermeasures of case teaching for environmental protection majors in secondary vocational schools,and designs relevant thematic case teaching design.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Through the questionnaire method and classroom observation method,the current situation of case teaching of environmental protection majors in secondary vocational schools based on the cultivation of innovative practical ability is obtained.In the process of case design and presentation,teachers can use modern means to display cases,but some teachers ignore the complex,systematic and dynamic comprehensive cases in case design,resulting in poor actual classroom teaching effect.In terms of problem design,teachers do not fully integrate students’ cognitive development level,which directly or indirectly affects the cultivation and development of students’ problem consciousness,divergent thinking and imaginary thinking.In the implementation of case teaching,some teachers lack the practical experience of case teaching,which leads to the low enthusiasm of students to participate in practical links,and the difficulty of improving students’ innovative practical ability;in the process of summary and evaluation,teachers are the main part,students’ summary,self-evaluation and mutual evaluation are relatively few,lack of in-depth communication,open summary and evaluation,and students’ divergent thinking is difficult to develop;analyze the causes of the problems from the perspective of schools,teachers and students.(2)In view of the current problems of case teaching in secondary vocational schools,the optimization principles and countermeasures of case teaching based on the cultivation of innovative practical ability are put forward.In the case teaching optimization principle,follow the principle of subjectivity,inquiry,comprehensive.In terms of case design,fully develop teaching cases and enhance the awareness of curriculum resources;in terms of problem design,pay attention to hierarchy and promote students’ inquiry learning;in the implementation of case teaching,strengthen case practice teaching,strengthen students’ innovative practice,improve students’ learning methods,and regulate the rhythm of classroom teaching.In the process of summary and evaluation,we should build a perfect evaluation system,give full play to students’ subjectivity,adopt diversified evaluation methods,and improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching.In the teaching design,the cultivation of innovative practical ability is fully highlighted,which is helpful to promote the wide application of case teaching in the environmental protection class of secondary vocational schools.(3)Case teaching design of environmental protection specialty in secondary vocational schools based on the cultivation of innovative practical ability.Under the guidance of case teaching optimization countermeasures for environmental protection majors in secondary vocational schools,"Air Pollution and Its Prevention" in "Introduction to Environmental Protection" and "Solid Waste Pollution and Its Control" in "Solid Waste Treatment and Disposal" are selected for specific teaching case design.The teaching design follows the specific implementation process of case teaching,aiming at improving students’ innovative and practical ability.This paper studies the case design of environmental protection specialty in secondary vocational schools based on the cultivation of innovative practical ability,in order to enrich the teaching case database,provide some reference for promoting the cultivation of teachers’ innovative practical ability in case teaching,and promote the wide application of case teaching in environmental protection specialty in secondary vocational schools.This study enriches the relevant theories of innovative practical ability and case teaching,summarizes the current situation of the cultivation of innovative practical ability of students majoring in environmental protection in secondary vocational schools and the application of case teaching,and puts forward the optimization principles and countermeasures for the problems and causes,so as to contribute to the establishment of teaching case base of environmental protection majors,and provide guidance and reference for teachers in secondary vocational schools to impove teaching practice activities and change students’ learning methods.
