The 14th five-year plan(FYP)period is the critical period for China to respond to climate change and to achieve the carbon emission peak.It is also the critical five-year period to promote the development of green economy.As the pillar of our country’s economic and social development,industry is also a "Big consumer of energy" and"Big emitter of carbon".Accelerating the green and low-carbon transition of industry will have a far-reaching impact on the economic development of the whole country.As the core of the new round of Industrial Revolution,digital economy is green,shared and pluralistic,which provides an effective way for the green transition of China’s industrial development,it will push China’s industry to a higher level of green development.Based on the concept and connotation of digital economy and industry green development,this paper theoretically analyzes the influencing mechanism of digital economy on green transition development of industry,including direct effect and spatial effect.Secondly,the evaluation index system of digital economy and industry green development is constructed using the entropy weight-TOPSIS method.Based on the evaluation system,the development of the digital economy and the green transition of industry in 30 Chinese province-level division from 2012 to 2019 is measured,with comparative analysis in both the time and space dimensions.The spatial-temporal differences of the development of digital economy and industrial green transition is therefore analyzed.Finally,according to the current situation of digital economy development in various regions,from the angle of direct effects and spatial spillover effects,the panel data of provinces are taken as samples,the panel model,spatial panel are used to analyze the role of digital economy in promoting the green development of industry.Relevant conclusions and policy suggestions are also put forward based all of these.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In time dimension,the digital economy showed a high-speed development trend from 2012 to 2019.Although the level of industrial green development is also rising,the growth rate is far less than the speed of digital economy development.In the spatial dimension,both digital economy and industrial green development present a pattern of "East High and West Low" and with time passing by,the spatial evolution pattern of "East-central-west" of industrial green development level is more and more obvious.(2)The development of digital economy has significant effect on the promotion of green development level of industry,and there is lagging effect.(3)The impact of digital economy on the green development level of industry has obvious spatial spillover effect.The improvement of the development level of digital economy in a particular region not only promotes the local green development of industry,it also has a positive impact on the level of green industrial development in adjacent areas.In addition,industrial green development has spatial correlation,and presents the "High-high,low-low" agglomeration development trend,that is,there is spatial correlation and clustering characteristics in the geographical location.(4)The impact of digital economy on the green development of industry differs in different regions.Compared with the eastern and western regions,the impact of digital economy development is greater in the central region.Based on above conclusions,the policy recommendations are as follows:(1)We should strengthen the overall plan for the development of the digital economy,actively deploy new-generation digital infrastructure,and further optimize the pattern of regional development of the digital economy.(2)Efforts should be made to integrate the digital economy with industrial development,promote the digital transformation of traditional industries,promote the coordinated green development of industrial chains,and increase policy support for the green transformation of industrial digitization.(3)We should speed up the process of digital economy to promote regional industrial green development,accurately grasping the spatial attribute of industrial green development,and formulating policies for regional differential development,to narrow the gap between the level of development of digital economy and the level of green development of industry. |
