Pollination service is an important ecosystem service.About 75%of crops in the world depend on insect pollination,so pollination service is very important in agricultural production and an important guarantee for maintaining food security and human well-being.In recent years, with the rapid development of climate change, habitat destruction and intensive agriculture, many problems such as landscape simplification and habitat loss have been caused, which will pose a serious threat to the survival of pollinators and affect the sustainable development of agriculture. As a major agricultural province in China,Shandong’s crop production is related to the national food security and nutrition supply.Taking Shandong Province as the research area, this study explored the relationship between land use types, crop diversity, honey source yield and pollination services, and showed the supply and demand of pollination services spatially and quantitatively.By using statistical methods such as matching analysis and coupling coordination analysis, the balance between quantity and quality of pollination services in Shandong Province was analyzed, which provided scientific support for scientific management of crop pollination services in Shandong Province. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)From 1990 to 2018,the land use change in Shandong Province was characterized by the expansion of construction land and the reduction of woodland and grassland. The construction land increased by 59.79%in 28 years, reaching 2.75×10~4km~2,accounting for 17.60%of the total area of the province.Cultivated land, woodland and grassland decreased by 4.27%(4475 km~2),8.84%(877 km~2)and38.10%(5307 km~2)respectively.The change of land use, especially the large reduction of grassland and woodland, leads to the reduction and fragmentation of pollinator habitats and the decline of pollinator diversity, thus affecting the pollination service of crops.(2)From 1990 to 2018,the crop diversity and crop uniformity in the whole province decreased in a large scale, and the crop diversity and uniformity decreased from 5.70 to 4.25 and 0.64 to 0.50 respectively. The crop diversity in western Shandong,south-central Shandong and eastern Shandong decreased by 36.32%,19.59%and 17.94%respectively.The crop uniformity also decreased by 29.08%,17.68%and 18.49%respectively.Among them, the crop diversity in the plain of western Shandong has declined most seriously, and the crop diversity in 42 counties out of 47 counties has declined, accounting for 90%.From 1990 to 2018,the honey source output in the province showed a downward trend, and the average honey source output in the province decreased by 1.72kg/ha,with a decrease of 8.12%.(3)The overall supply of pollination services in Shandong Province is at a low level, with the characteristics of high pollination supply in mountainous hills and low supply in plains. In the past 30 years, the average pollination supply capacity has decreased by 12.55%,and the regional pollination supply has decreased by nearly80%,among which the decline in eastern Shandong is the most serious, with a drop of15.21%.The supply of pollination services is characterized by an increase in central and southern Shandong and a decrease in western Shandong. The demand for pollination services in central and southern Shandong and eastern Shandong increased by 24.12%and 5.78%respectively.The demand for topographic pollination in western Shandong decreased by 24.12%.(4)In 2018,the coupling coordination degree of crop pollination supply and demand in Shandong Province was on the edge of imbalance, with an average value of 0.41,which was 12.70%lower than that in 1990.More importantly, more than one-third of the areas in Shandong Province have a mismatch between supply and demand of pollination services, mainly distributed in the coastal areas of eastern Shandong and the plains of northwestern Shandong. In 2018,the proportions of regions with low supply-low demand, low supply-high demand, high supply-low demand and high supply-high demand were 32.49%,28.99%,22.97%and 15.55%respectively.Low supply-high demand is a matching type of supply and demand that restricts crop production and pollination.People occupy nearly one third of the province, which will affect the sustainable development of agriculture in Shandong Province.(5)The nectar yield of woodland, grassland and cultivated land is relatively high in all land use types, and the average unit nectar yield is 66.5kg/ha,6.1kg/ha and14.9kg/ha respectively. From 1990 to 2018,the honey source output of the whole province showed a downward trend, and the unit honey source output decreased by8.12%,with the most serious decline in central and southern Shandong, with a decrease of 10.55%.There is no significant correlation between honey source yield and regional GDP and population; There is a moderate correlation with pollination service supply and a strong correlation with pollination supply-demand coupling coordination, and Pearson correlation coefficient is 0.647.The yield of nectar source has a general influence on the coupling coordination between supply and demand of pollination service.
