Social Adaptation Of Coal Miners In The Context Of Urban Transformation

Shizuishan was once a strong industrial city in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.With the gradual depletion of Shizuishan’s resources,the traditional coal mining and coal processing industry also went into decline.In the process of industrial transformation in Shizuishan City,the group of coal miners in S City has also been affected in the process.On the one hand,the industrial transformation brought about the restructuring of enterprises,which not only changed the relationship between workers and enterprises,but also affected the lives of some workers.This change has been continuous and significant.With the rise and fall of an industry and the movement of people brought about by the general environment,the living environment around this group has also changed.The article therefore uses the social adaptation of coal miners in community J in S as an entry point and the article unfolds as follows.The first introductory chapter introduces the background to the thesis,a review of the relevant literature,the status of the field sites and theoretical references,which provide a relatively detailed introduction to the concepts,theories and areas covered in the article.The second chapter examines the adaptation of coal miners’ lives,starting with their family situation.This includes the following aspects:living conditions,family conditions,family adaptation and the education of the coal miner’s children.The third chapter deals with the psychological adaptation of coal miners.The psychological impact of social change on workers is enormous.The psychological impact varies between workers of different ages,and consequently the adjustment required for their social adjustment varies.Chapter 4 deals with the adaptation of coal workers to social relations.The shift in industry and social development has had a huge impact on the social patterns of coal miners,and with it,a change in social relations.This change has been accompanied by changes in the social relations of coal miners.In the end is concludes with a summary and reflections of dissertation.
