At the general debate of the 75 th session of the UN General Assembly,General Secretary Xi proposed China’s green development policy of "carbon peaking and carbon neutralization" for the first time.Environmental issues are major livelihood issues closely related to people’s lives. With the development of economy and the improvement of modernization level,it is more and more difficult and limited to realize carbon emission reduction in industry. In the context of double carbon project, the research on carbon emission reduction in residents’ lives has attracted more and more attention.Realizing "carbon peak and carbon neutralization" is a systematic and overall strategic project. The strategic goal of double carbon project has brought new opportunities and great challenges to urban development.Carbon peaking is regarded as a project from a macro perspective, while the previous research on carbon peaking mostly starts from the carbon emissions of industrial enterprises or the whole. This paper expands the research vision and analyzes the influencing factors of residents’ domestic energy carbon emissions in the double carbon project.Hu-bao-E-yu urban agglomeration is a cross provincial urban agglomeration gradually formed in the process of economic regionalization in Hohhot,Ordos and Baotou, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Yulin in the north of Shaanxi Province. It is necessary to integrate the coordinated development of urban agglomerations with the policy of "carbon neutralization and carbon peaking" to help regional urban agglomerations give priority to carbon peaking.Combined with the specific development plan of urban agglomeration, this paper analyzes the influencing factors of regional double carbon project, finds out the key influencing factors of carbon peak, decomposes the goal of carbon peak, and expands the new path to realize double carbon project.Based on the research of the original scholars, this paper selects Hu-bao-E-yu urban agglomeration to analyze the influencing factors of double carbon project, uses the carbon emission coefficient method to calculate the carbon emission of residents’ domestic energy in Hu-bao-E-yu urban agglomeration, and finds that the carbon emission of residents’ domestic energy is increasing year by year, among which gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas and electric power are the main factors of residents’ domestic energy carbon emission. The LMDI model is used to decompose the influencing factors of residents’ domestic energy carbon emission. It is found that the population effect and consumption tendency effect have a positive effect on Residents’ domestic energy carbon emission, and the other parameters have an alternating effect on Residents’ domestic energy carbon emission. In the future development,we should pay more attention to energy-saving technology and optimize the energy consumption structure to help the double carbon project. The decoupling model is used to analyze the short-term economic development and carbon emission of residents’ domestic energy consumption.According to the decoupling model, the relationship between the two will be an ideal decoupling state with the further economic development of Hu-bao-E-yu urban agglomeration. The STIRPAT model is used to predict the carbon emission of domestic energy consumption of residents in Hu-bao-E-yu urban agglomeration,so as to provide theoretical support for the achievement of the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutralization".Put forward appropriate suggestions for the formulation of emission reduction policies in the four places of Hu-bao-E-yu urban agglomeration in the future.
