Study On Influencing Factors Of Farmers’ Participation Behavior In Rural Domestic Waste Treatment In Guanzhong Region

With the comprehensive and in-depth promotion of the Rural Revitalization Strategy,the rural development situation in China is gratifying,the quality of life of farmers has also increased,and their lifestyles and consumption patterns have also changed.In this context,the domestic waste discharge of rural residents has increased rapidly.Due to the lack of effective treatment,the phenomenon of "garbage surrounding villages" has been an increasingly serious problem,which greatly restricts the improvement of rural human settlements.In recent years,the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have attached great importance to the prominent problem of rural domestic waste and made a series of decisions and arrangements.In the treatment of rural household garbage,villagers,as the main force,play an important role in the treatment of waste source,and have a big role in the efficient treatment of rural domestic waste.In this context,farmers’ participation in rural domestic waste treatment has become a hot topic in academic circles.On the basis of literature research,this paper clarifies the concepts of rural domestic waste treatment and citizen participation,defines the connotation of governance theory,social embeddedness theory and citizen participation ladder theory,and constructs a complete theoretical analysis framework based on these.Based on the theory of social embeddedness,nine explanatory variables are extracted from the four dimensions of cognitive embeddedness,political embeddedness,relational embeddedness and structural embeddedness from the two aspects of subject and object.Using the ladder theory of citizen participation for reference,three types of public participation methods,namely symbolic participation,potential participation and deep participation,are selected to explain farmers’ participation behavior in detail,On this basis,it is preliminarily assumed that social embeddedness factors have an impact on Farmers’ participation behavior in Guanzhong rural domestic waste treatment,and to explain and measure the relevant variables.Then explain the acquisition of survey samples:This paper takes Yanliang District of Xi’an city as the research sample,adopts the method of stratified random sampling,carries out a questionnaire survey on 220 villagers selected from four villages in Yanliang District,and collects data.With the help of SPSS statistical analysis software for data analysis,using multiple linear stepwise regression model,this paper empirically discusses the influencing factors of farmers’ participation behavior in Guanzhong rural domestic waste treatment.The results show that the six explanatory variables of value perception,policy cognition,policy support,social network,social participation and social trust will have an impact on farmers’ participation behavior in rural domestic waste treatment in Guanzhong.Based on the empirical results,this paper expounds the policy recommendations on the optimization of farmers’ participation behavior in rural domestic waste treatment from three aspects:strengthening publicity and guidance,strengthening farmers’ cognition,strengthening government support,leading social fashion,cultivating social capital and promoting collective participation.
