| Since the 18 th Party Congress, the Chinese government has been making the resolution of the "three rural issues" a central focus of the Party’s work, placing increasing emphasis on rural development and proposing goals such as building a livable environment in the countryside. The recycling and management of rural household waste is closely related to the issue of rural environmental protection and plays an important role in the development of the rural economy. However, the lack of relevant infrastructure in most of China’s rural areas and the backwardness of waste treatment technology have greatly slowed down the development of the rural household waste recycling and logistics network system. It is essential to strengthen the recycling aspect of rural household waste in order to boost the rural economy and improve the living conditions and environment of rural residents. Therefore, how to optimize and improve the logistics network for rural waste collection has become a major challenge for government departments.Based on the concept of rural household waste, the theory of logistics networks and the method of logistics network optimization, this paper analyses three typical rural household waste recycling models in China and provides a comprehensive comparison of them, pointing out their respective advantages and disadvantages as well as their scope of application. On this basis, the feasibility of applying a hub-and-spoke network for rural household waste recycling is explored, and the elements and structure of the network are defined and constructed. An optimization model of the rural household waste recycling logistics network is developed with the objective of minimising total costs, incorporating a hub-and-spoke network. The genetic algorithm is used to solve the algorithm and model, and the validity of the algorithm and model is verified, and the results are analysed and applied to illustrate.Improving the network system of rural household waste recycling and logistics is the key to ensuring that household waste can be collected and operated normally.Optimising the network allows for scientific siting of nodes, avoiding the duplication of facilities and achieving the objective of optimising resource allocation; At the same time,a rational transport route can increase the efficiency of waste transport and reduce the logistics costs invested by the government,so that subsequent waste disposal can proceed smoothly.Once the recycling logistics network is developed, more new industries will emerge and certain opportunities will be brought about. While improving the efficiency of waste disposal,it will be conducive to promoting the construction of ecological civilization and economic development in rural areas, bringing huge economic and social benefits to the country and perfectly fitting the basic principles of the rural revitalization strategy. |
