Research On The Development Strategy Of A Gas-fired Power Generation Enterprise Under The "dual Carbon" Goa

Chinese President Xi Jinping made a solemn commitment to the international community to reach peak carbon and become carbon neutral at the UN General Assembly general debate on September 22,2020."China will strive to reach peak CO2 emissions by 2030 and will work towards the goal of carbon neutrality by 2060." The " carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" was later incorporated into the 14 th Five-Year Plan,and the Central Economic Work Conference held that year also listed the work of achieving peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality as one of the annual key tasks for the first time.The purpose of our economic development is to live better,not to sacrifice the natural environment for the sake of economic development,and then use money to improve our environment after our home has been damaged in an unpredictable way.That becomes the cart before the horse,so we must adhere to the basic national policy of protecting the environment and resource conservation without wavering.The economy must be developed,and the environment must be protected.We can’t destroy the home we depend on for economic development.To solve both problems at the same time,clean energy becomes the best solution.Natural gas is the cleanest of all known fossil energy sources,with abundant reserves around the world and a mature upstream and downstream industry chain from extraction to application,and the whole industry is in a high growth stage.As an important part of clean energy utilization,gas-fired power generation projects can bring economic benefits and contribute to environmental protection.In this paper,the concepts involved are firstly briefly described and their connotations are clarified,and the theoretical contents of enterprise strategic management and the application of PEST and SWOT analysis are introduced,thus laying the theoretical foundation for the later strategic analysis.Subsequently,the two analysis methods were used to comprehensively analyze A gas-fired power generation company’s own accumulated advantages in management,capital and human resources,and the risks from capital,technology,management and market;the excellent external environment such as domestic preferential policies,ecological protection concepts,the development of gas-fired power generation-related technologies,and external problems such as the stability of upstream gas sources and policies.The analysis reveals that there is a sufficient necessity and possibility for gas-fired power generation company A to clarify its strategic positioning at this time,especially because the general external policy environment prompts the company to seize the current favorable opportunities.Finally,based on the strategic management analysis in the previous section,this study clarifies the strategic positioning and objectives that A gas-fired power generation company should choose,as well as the ways to implement the strategy,and accordingly proposes the essential technical,human,financial,and policy safeguards in the process of strategy implementation.It also proposes technical,human,financial,and policy measures necessary for the implementation of the strategy.Some suggestions are provided on company A’s management and development in the coming years.
