Study On Influencing Factors Of The Classification Willingness And Behavior Of Rural Residents’ Domestic Waste In Jinan

With China’s rapid economic growth,the goal of rural residents for a better life for rural residents has changed from the pursuit of maximization economic benefits to pursuit of high-quality development of life.A series of policies were launched by government to solve the “dirty,disorderly and bad”situation in rural areas but fail to improve the specific behavior of rural residents.In order to guiding the domestic garbage classification behavior of rural residents and provide theoretical reference for relevant departments to formulate policies and regulations.In this paper,a total of 340 questionnaires were obtained by the combination of the questionnaire and field visit.The rural residents of Jinan are taken as research object,individual characteristics,environmental values,waste treatment facilities,encouragement and punishment measure,government and public publicity as well as market service are taken as common independent variables,garbage sorting willingness and behavior are taken as dependent variables,respectively.Based on the SPSS 23.0software,effects of six factors on residents’ willingness and behavior to classify garbage were investigated.It was found that(1)Waste treatment facilities,encouragement and punishment measure as well as market service have a significant influence on the garbage classification willingness of rural residents in Jinan.Meanwhile,the impact of environmental values and government and public publicity can be ignored.In the individual characteristics,the factors of education degree,party member and village cadres or not all have positive influence on the willingness of garbage classification,however with the increase of age,residents’ willingness to classify garbage gradually decreases.(2)For the behavior of garbage classification,waste treatment facilities,encouragement and punishment measure,market service and education degree in the factor of individual characteristics can have positive effect.(3)The factors that influence on the willingness and behavior of rural residents on garbage classification are different and the latter is mainly affected by external factors.(4)The phenomenon that the willingness of garbage classification is higher than those of behavior indicates that the willingness has not complete shifted to behavior.Based on the theory and analysis,three suggestions were proposed as follows:(1)Improve the construction of waste treatment facilities and provide convenience for residents to participate in waste classification.(2)A feasible long-term reward and punishment mechanism should be established to encourage residents to classify domestic garbage.(3)Improve the level of market service,and implement effectively participation of multi-subjects.(4)For the individual characteristics,various policies should be implemented to play to the exemplary role of Party members as well as promote the transformation from intention to behavior.
