Study On The Crafts And Design Of The Lacquer Decoration Of Broken Grain Of Qin-zither

Starting from the form and aesthetic value of the broken grains of the Qin-zither,this paper researches the related lacquer painting and restoration techniques,analyzes the causes of the formation of the broken grains,the organizational form and value of the surface of the lacquer decoration,and excavates and makes use of the unique aesthetic value and crafts of the Qin-zither and the broken grains to design and make lacquerware.The broken grains of the paintwork of the Qin-zither,are not unique to the Qin-zithe,but are often found on the Qin-zither,with various patterns and unique features.Through closely contact with Qin-zither,and study photos and books,a large number of images of broken grains of Qin-zither have been obtained from different levels.Typical types of broken grains are divided into longitudinal lacquer cracks such as snake belly,running water,ox hair,etc.and longitudinal and transverse interlacing lacquer cracks such as ice crack,plum blossom crack,turtle back crack,scale crack,etc.Fluctuating fluidity of broken texture tactile sensation produces flow changes in quantity,shape and thickness over time.The shape and organization of broken grains have irregularity and infinite self-similarity.Different types of long or short grains are arranged or interwoven according to certain rules to form beauty,which constitutes the unique aesthetic value of broken grains.The lacquering craft of the Qin-zither has its own system.The great protective effect of antler lacquering ash to the wooden tire,the gorgeous decorative effect of Babao ash and the lacquering habit with different surface primers constitute the lacquering features of the Qin-zither.At the same time,in the process of using,preserving and spreading the Qin-zither,due to the damage of internal and external factors,it is bound to be repaired more or less repeatedly by predecessors.The subjectivity of the "cloud patch" repair method of different-color paint in the traditional repair process and various uncertain human or natural factors in the inheritance make the shape and organization of the patch pattern on the paint surface random and irregular,and produce corresponding changes with the increase of repair marks,thus.forming a paint surface effect with mottled inclusion and dynamic changes.The broken grains on the lacquer surface of Qin-zither originate from the thermal expansion and contraction of the wood tire of the lacquer layer,the aging of the lacquer quality over time,and the impact of string vibration.Other influencing factors include the repeated playing and restoration and protection of the Qin-zither,which causes the different paint layers to crack out after being mixed and overlapped,the different color paint to be worn out after the repair process,or gradually emit due to the influence of playing abrasion.The pattern of broken grains increasing with time is a dynamic development process.The paintwork with special external form and decorative effect,which is left over after repeated playing and repairing,has unique aesthetic,technological and humanistic values.In the practical lacquerware cases,the static and dynamic elements related to the broken grain paint are extracted to transform and apply by a variety of methods such as separate patterns,decomposition and reconstruction,repeated composition to design a pattern of broken grain with decorative and aesthetic effect;In the manufacturing process,based on the principle of the broken pattern lacquer decoration process,a comprehensive lacquer decoration technique is explored to realize the effect of broken gains lacquer decoration.A series of products such as lacquer boxes,hairpins,bracelets and the like are manufactured through plastic film carving to form concave-convex broken grain patterns or drawing and stacking high patterns to simulate the sharp-edged concave-convex surface formed by bulges when the broken grain cracks,and then multi-layer lacquer color layers are overlaid and coated,filled with lacquer,ground and painted,so as to realize the best design effect with the optimal process.
