| Wudaoxia Nature Reserve is located in the mountainous area of northwest Hubei Province, belonging to the Jingshan Mountains formed by the residual veins of Daba Mountain. The area has high mountains and deep valleys, complex and diverse habitats and few people. Many native vegetation is preserved and the biodiversity is very rich.In this paper,a survey of vascular plant diversity was carried out in Wudaoxia Nature Reserve with the combination of line transmutation method and standard sample method.A total of more than 4500 specimens of 1802 were collected, and 18,620 photos of plant morphology and related habitats were obtained. At the same time,a total of 5740 species data were retrieved by using relevant literature and herbarium data.Through sorting and statistical analysis of the above data, the List of Wild Vascular Plants in Hubei Wudaoxia National Nature Reserve was completed. On this basis, the species composition analysis, geographical composition analysis, endangered protected plants research and typical plant community characteristics analysis of vascular plants in the reserve were carried out.The research results were as follows:1.Wudaoxia National Nature Reserve is rich in plant species.Through field investigation and systematic sorting of related literature and herbarium data accumulated over the years, there were 2408 species of vascular plants(including planted units)belonging to 919 genera of 179 families, including 2212 species of angiosperm belonging to 841 genera of 151 families,33 species of gymnosperms belonging to 19 genera of 5 families, and 163 species of ferns belonging to 59 genera of 23 families.2.There are a large number of monospecies and oligospecies, which are the main components of the flora in the reserve.Among the ferns in the reserve, there were 18 species of monotypic family and oligotypic family, accounting for 78.26% of the total number of ferns.Monotypic and oligotypic genera comprised 50 genera, accounting for 84.74% of the total genera of ferns in the reserve.Among the seed plants in the reserve,96 species were monotypic and oligotypic, accounting for 61.54% of the total number of seed plants in the reserve.A total of 761 genera were monotypic and oligotypic, accounting for 88.49% of the total seed plant genera.3.The flora is mainly temperate, and has the transition from subtropical to temperate zone.Of the ferns in the reserve,47.83% and 42.37% were families and genera of tropical distribution types, and 8.69% and 27.12% were families and genera of temperate distribution types, respectively. In seed plants,41.03% of the total families were tropical distribution families. The temperate distributed families accounted for 30.13% of the total families. At the genus level,31.80% of the genera were tropical.Temperate distribution type accounted for54.42% of the total number of genera, nature of tropical genera and temperate nature than0.58 1,description reserve seed flora on the whole is given priority to with temperate components.Generally speaking, the flora of Wudaoxia Nature Reserve is mainly temperate, and also has the transitional nature from subtropical to temperate.4.The flora is ancient, original and relict, and the rare and endangered plant species are abundant. In the flora of the reserve, there are many ancient and primitive families and genera, such as Taxus in gymnosperms which occurred in the Triassic period, and Magnoliaceae and Betulaceae in angiosperms which occurred in the Cretaceous period. Some species, such as purple peony, have formed large community types in the reserve, which shows the ancient, primitive and relict flora in the reserve. In addition, there are 159 species of rare and endangered plants belonging to 109 genera of 52 families, gymnosperms of 4 families,8genera and 11 species, angiosperms of 48 families,101 genera and 148 species. There are 63 wild plants under State key protection,101 on the China Biodiversity Red List,36 on the China Rare and Endangered Plants List, and 137 on the IUCN List.5.Typical vegetation community-Quercus aliena var.acutiserrata forests.Vegetation investigation for Quercus aliena var.acutiserrata forests were conducted by standard sample method in Wudaoxia national nature reserve to analyse their community characteristics. Results showed that the Q.aliena var.acutiserrata communities were consisted of 240 species of vascular plants, belonging to 154 genera in 71 families. In terms of age structure of Q.aliena var.acutiserrata population, individuals of level Ⅰ and level II accounted for a small proportion, level Ⅲ and level Ⅳ accounted for a large proportion, the age structure was characterized with spindle shape, which implied its community structure was stable.Life-form spectrum distribution was dominated by phanerophytes, followed by cryptophytes and hemicryptophytes, while chamaephytes and therophytes took up the smallest proportion;revealing advantageous hydrothermal condition in main growing season while long and cold winter also existed in study area. |
