Located in Hezhou City, east of Guangxi,Guposhan Nature Reserve is important forest resource distribution and water source forest conservation area,in order to find out plant diversity of this region and provide basic data for improving the overall construction and management level of the reserve, this research was carried out under the support of related projects.Through extensive literature collection, field investigation, specimen collection and indoor specimen sorting and identification,1123 species of vascular plants in 189 families,604 genera(including lower taxa, the same below)were recorded in Guposhan Nature Reserve,Guangxi.Including 134 species of ferns belong to 35 families and 61 genera,6 species of gymnosperm belong to 4 families and 5 genera,1010 species of angiosperm belong to 139 families and 491 genera;and the floristic compositions, characteristics and endemism of wild vascular plants were figured out.The rare and endangered plants were counted and some corresponding protection measures were put forward. The specific statistical and analysis results are as follows:1.There are 134 species of ferns, belonging to 35 families 61 genera,in the reserve, according to Lu Shugang's floristic division principle, the 35 families of ferns can be divided into 4 areal-types,and 61 genera can be divided into 9 areal-types and 1 subtype. The results showed tropical distribution types occupying main proportion both in the families and genera level. The dominant families(?10 species)were Dryopteridaceae,Lypteridaceae,Polypodiaceae and Atyriaceae, which contain 21 genera 59 species, accounting for 34.4%of total genera and 44%of total species in Guposhan's ferns. The dominant genera(?5 species)are Arachniodes,Pteris,Allantodia,Selaginella,Dryopteris,Cyclosorus and Asplenium, which contain 51 species, accounting for 38.1%of total ferns in Guposhan.2.1016 species from 143 families and 496 genera(including 4 families 5 genera 6 species of gymnospermae)of wild spermatophyte were recorded in the reserve.According to Wu Zhengyi's division principle of distribution patterns among spermatophyte in China, the 143 families can be divided into 8 areal-types and 7 subtypes, including 69 families in tropic distribution and 32 families in temperate distribution,R/T ratio(quantity ratio between tropic distribution and temperate distribution)is 2.16.The 496 genera can be divided into 12 areal-types and 20 subtypes, there were 286 genera of tropical distribution(2?7 types),175 genera of temperate distribution(8—15 types),R/T ratio is 1.63,data above showed tropical and subtropical floristic characteristics in Guposhan Nature Reserve. The dominant families in Guposhan Nature Reserve were Compositae,Orchidaceae,Rubiaceae,Cyperaceae,Rosaceae,Labiatae,Theaceae and Gramineae, which contain 310 species that accounted for 28.81%of the total number of spermatophyte;the dominant genera(? 10 species)included Carex,Rhododendron,Eurya,Rubus,Ilex,Polygonum,Castanopsis,Clematis,Ficus, and Callicarpa, which contain 133 species that accounted for 13.09%of totalspermatophyte.3.Most wild vascular plants in the reserve were deficient in species within the genera, most of them are monotypic(contain only 1 species)and oligotypic(contain 2—4 species).Among the ferns,32 genera were monotypic and 22 genera were oligotypic, accounting for 23.88%and 16.42%of total fern genera.Among the spermatophyte,300 genera were monotypic and 161 genera were oligotypic, accounting for 60.48%and 32.46%of total spermatophyte genera.4.There were 2 families(Cephalotaxaceae and Actinidiaceae)that endemic to East Asia and 4 genera(Melliodendron,Notoseris,Hanceola,Indocalamus)that endemic to China, lack of family endemic to China and genus endemic to Guangxi;there were 19 species that endemic to Guangxi, covering 1.65%of total spermatophyte, which showed low isolation degree, and only 1 species that endemic to Guposhan Nature Reserve.5.There were 66 species of rare and endangered plants in Guposhan Nature Reserve, belonging to 18 families and 44 genera, including 4 species of ferns,2 species of gymnospermae and 60 species of angiosperm.Among the 66 species,8 were under National ? Protection Wild Plants and 58 were on the list of Protection of Guangxi Wild Plants List.According to field investigation and IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria,66 rare and endangered plants in this area were evaluated, the results showed that 1 was critically endangered,10 were endangered,20 were vulnerable,7 were near critically and 28 were not at risk, the causes of endangered plants were discussed and some corresponding protection measures were put forward.6.9 newly recorded species were found during field exploration, including 1 newly recorded in China's mainland,Gastrodia fontinalis, and 8 newly recorded in Guangxi,i.e.Styrax rhytidocarpus,Synotis fulvipes,Hanceola exserta,Keiskea australis,Isodon longitubus,Eriocaulon decemflorum,Platantherafujianensis,Isachne sylvestris.
