The Measurement And Spatial Difference Analysis Of China’s Digital Economy

The emergence of digital technology has brought new production and consumption concepts to human society,successfully promoting a new leap in the global economy.After seeing the enormous development potential of the digital economy,countries began to compete to support its development,and China has also been vigorously developing the digital economy in recent years.In order to better promote the sustainable and healthy development of China’s digital economy,it is of great significance to study the measurement of the scale of the digital economy,the development level and differences of the domestic digital economy.This paper focuses on digital economy.It systematically combs the connotation of digital economy,industry classification,measurement methods and domestic digital economy development pattern,found that the current measurement methods of digital economy and the standards of digital economy industry classification have their own characteristics.After comprehensive consideration,this paper refers to the"Statistical Classification of Digital Economy and Its Core Industries(2021)" in the selection of digital economy industries,and conducts relevant research by matching it with the "National Economy Industry Classification(2017)".This paper adopts the KLEMS to measure the digital economy at the national level,and constructs a comprehensive indicator system to measure the digital economy at the provincial level.This effectively avoids the shortcomings of different measurement methods,making the final measurement results more accurate.Furthermore,this paper also studied the spatial differences in the development of digital economy across provinces by Gini coefficient,categorizing each province into the eastern,central,western,or northern and southern regions.The research found that:Firstly,the three methods of Digital Economy measurement have their own characteristics.Secondly,the overall development of China’s digital economy is rapid,but the internal development is uneven and the development gap is expanding year by year.From a regional perspective:As for the eastern,central,and western regions,the development trend of digital economy in various regions shows a fluctuating increase.The difference among regions is the main reason for the difference in the development level of digital economy among provinces.The differences between regions gradually decrease after reaching their peak,while the differences within regions continue to expand.As for the northern and southern regions,the development trend of digital economy in both the northern and southern regions shows an upward trend of volatility.The differences within the northern and southern regions is the main reason for the difference in the development level of digital economy among provinces.The internal differences within each region remain stable and slightly decrease.Based on the above research,this paper puts forward two suggestions:From the perspective of Digital Economy measurement,it is necessary to improve the statistical survey system,broaden the measurement boundary,and build a multiagent joint participation system.From the development of Digital Economy,we should not only strengthen the research of digital core technology and build a professional digital technology talent team to promote the development of the digital economy in various provinces,but also optimize the spatial layout of the digital economy industry to achieve coordinated development.
