| The end of the nineteenth century was the era of the emergence and development of our country’s national industry.The overseas Chinese industry invested by overseas Chinese capital played an important role in the emergence and development of China’s national industry.Important signs,especially in Fujian and Guangdong provinces.The overseas Chinese industry occupies an important position in the development of Fujian and Guangdong industries,and its industrial heritage also witnesses the history of the development of coastal cities in Fujian and Guangdong,which is of great significance for protection and research.This paper takes Fujian and Guangdong provinces,where the distribution of overseas Chinese in my country is the most concentrated,as the research scope,and takes the industries wholly-owned or invested by overseas Chinese founded in these two provinces from 1840 to 1966 as the research object.The collection and arrangement of historical records and other documents,and the establishment of a database of basic information on the modern overseas Chinese industry in Fujian and Guangdong,including the time,type,investor,address,and current situation of the establishment of the overseas Chinese industry in Fujian and Guangdong.Based on the database,the development of the overseas Chinese industry in Fujian and Guangdong is analyzed,and the Arc GIS software is used to analyze the evolution of the distribution pattern of the overseas Chinese industry in Fujian and Guangdong and its influencing factors.Based on the database information,through the confirmation of relevant data and field research,summarize the distribution,protection and utilization of overseas Chinese industrial heritage in Fujian and Guangdong,and compare the distribution,protection and utilization of industrial heritage.Based on the above analysis,it can be found that,historically speaking,the development of overseas Chinese industry has obvious heydays and stagnation periods,rapid development in peacetime,and low ebb and stagnation in wartime.In terms of spatial pattern,the influencing factors of the industrial distribution of overseas Chinese are the hometown of overseas Chinese,water system and railway in order of degree.The industrial distribution of overseas Chinese in Fujian and Guangdong basically coincides with the distribution of major overseas Chinese hometowns.The development of road traffic will gradually reduce this close relationship,but still occupy a major position.From the perspective of urban structure,the development of overseas Chinese industry is almost synchronized with the development of cities,and is distributed in urban areas as a whole.Some cities are affected by the surrounding overseas Chinese hometowns and will appear to spread from the city to the surrounding area.From the perspective of industrial heritage,there are quite a few industrial heritages of overseas Chinese in Fujian and Guangdong,but apart from the protection units,there are still some heritages whose historical value has not been recognized,so they have been properly protected.Therefore,the research on the protection and utilization of overseas Chinese industrial heritage needs to be further deepened.As a part of the related research on overseas Chinese industrial heritage,this paper hopes that the research on the development,pattern evolution and heritage remains of overseas Chinese industry in Fujian and Guangdong can provide basic information and data for the protection and utilization of overseas Chinese industrial heritage,and promote the development of related research on overseas Chinese industrial heritage. |
