| Purposes: To observe whether the 12-week Sports Dance intervention can reduce the degree of Postural Scoliosis of junior middle school girls by improving spinal mobility and core muscle function,so as to provide objective basis and theoretical support for the correction and prevention of Postural Scoliosis of junior middle school girls.Methods: 58 junior middle school girls with Postural Scoliosis(scoliosis degree I-II)who met the inclusion criteria were recruited.A total of 53 subjects completed the study and were divided into Sports Dance group(n = 26)and health education group(n = 27).On the basis of participating in regular school activities,the Sports Dance group conducted an intervention experiment twice a week,with each exercise lasting 40 minutes;The health education group received spine health education once a month;The intervention period was12 weeks.The main index to observe the correction effect was the degree of scoliosis,and the secondary indexes were spinal mobility(the thoracic vertebrae and lumbar vertebrae bend laterally to the concave convex side respectively)and core muscle function(the asymmetry index of erector spinae muscle,rectus abdominis muscle and external oblique abdominal muscle).SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Pearson chi square test,paired sample t-test,independent sample t-test,two-way analysis of variance and Spearman correlation analysis were used to test the data,and bootstrap mediation effect analysis was used.The mediation model assumed that the intervention group(predictor) could predict the changes of spinal mobility and core muscle function(intermediary variable),the changes of spinal mobility and core muscle function are related to the degree(result)of scoliosis.Results:(1)Scoliosis degree: the degree of Postural Scoliosis of girls in the Sports Dance group was19(73.1%)before the intervention,7(26.9%)after the intervention,19(73.1%)without scoliosis,4(15.4%)and 3(11.5%)after the intervention.In the health education group,26patients(96.3%)had degree I before the intervention,1 patient(3.7%)had degree II,6 patients(22.2%)had no scoliosis after the intervention,14 patients(53.8%)had degree I,6patients(23.1%)had degree II and 1 patient(3.7%)had degree III.The correction effective rate in the Sports Dance group was 84.6%,and the effective rate in the health education group was 22.2%.There was significant difference between the groups(P < 0.001);(2)Spinal mobility: after 12 weeks of intervention,the range of motion of thoracic spine bending laterally to the convex side in the Sports Dance group increased from 46.44(°)to55.22(°)(P < 0.001).There was no significant change in the health education group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P = 0.006).The range of motion of lumbar lateral bending increased from 23.52(°)to 34.37(°)(P < 0.001).There was no significant change in the health education group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P< 0.001).(3)Core muscle function: after 12 weeks of intervention,the vertical spine muscle asymmetry index in the Sports Dance group decreased from 6.01 to 2.01(P = 0.015).There was no significant change in the health education group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P = 0.028).The asymmetry index of rectus abdominis decreased from 8.13 to 2.78(P = 0.002).There was no significant change in the health education group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P = 0.049).The asymmetry index of external oblique abdominal muscle decreased from 12.88 to 4.99(P < 0.001).There was no significant change in the health education group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P = 0.012);(4)Intermediary effect: the change of vertical spine muscle asymmetry index has a significant intermediary effect in the role of Sports Dance intervention in reducing the degree of scoliosis[ β=-0.138,95%CI(-0.318,-0.013)]。Conclusions:(1)12-week Sports Dance intervention has a significant correction effect on Postural Scoliosis of junior middle school girls.It can improve the spinal mobility and core muscle function by improving the lateral bending activity of the spine to the convex side and reducing the asymmetry index of the core muscle.(2)The asymmetry index of erector spinae muscle can mediate Sports Dance to reduce the degree of scoliosis,suggesting that strengthening the closed and open power chain training based on erector spinae muscle contraction may help to improve the degree of scoliosis in the correction intervention of Postural Scoliosis. |
