| With the development of China’s economy and the strengthening of its comprehensive national power,the country is paying more and more attention to the soft power of culture,and has put forward higher requirements for the inheritance and development of China’s excellent traditional culture.Dunhuang frescoes,as the world’s tangible cultural heritage,is also an outstanding representative of excellent traditional Chinese culture,which has a medium important role in enhancing students’ cultural confidence,national aesthetic awareness,heritage and innovation;General Secretary Xi has also repeatedly mentioned the importance of traditional culture in education,but in reality,traditional culture and art have not penetrated deeply into the art classroom.Therefore,this paper uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,analysis and induction and teaching practice methods to study the integration of Dunhuang fresco elements into the teaching of the ’design-application’ module in junior art,with a view to improving students’ practical skills,stimulating their love for cultural heritage and improving their cultural literacy.The aim is to enhance students’ practical skills,inspire their love for cultural heritage,improve their cultural literacy and make their design work more culturally relevant.This study begins with an analysis of the feasibility of integrating Dunhuang fresco elements into the Design-Application module of junior secondary art,such as an overview of Dunhuang frescoes,the extraction of Dunhuang fresco elements and the Design-Application module of junior secondary art,using the social function of art in the Introduction to Art and Tao Xingzhi’s theory of "Education for Life" as the theoretical basis and its application in teaching.Theoretically based on the social function of art and Tao Xingzhi’s theory of "education for life",and its application in teaching.An analysis of the current use of Dunhuang fresco elements in junior high school art teaching materials.The study is based on a survey of the actual implementation strategies,from setting course objectives,adopting different teaching methods,writing teaching designs,implementing the teaching process,and evaluating and reflecting on the course afterwards.The teaching process is based on the collection of information before the lesson,the introduction of the contextual approach during the lesson,the inspiration of the students through image reading,and the use of a variety of materials to stimulate students’ interest in learning.In order to help students better master designing with Dunhuang fresco elements,the author designed four different thematic examples of Dunhuang frescoes,from decorative patterns,colours,costumes and souvenir designs to deliver the lesson.The research has enabled the integration of Dunhuang fresco elements with the Design-Application module in junior art teaching,enabling students to improve their aesthetic qualities,enhance their sense of innovation,love cultural heritage,value the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture,develop their practical skills and improve their design skills. |
