In 2020,countries suffered a worldwide public health crisis,and novel coronavirus was rampant all over the world.At present,China has entered a period of normalization of epidemic prevention and control.After the epidemic,the process of returning to work and production in China has been accelerating,and a large number of migrant workers have poured into the city again,injecting new vitality into the city.And as our society enters a new stage of development,the scale of migrant workers continues to expand,and their accompanying children have also become the focus of social attention.Under the influence of the COVID-19,they are facing many new problems in social adaptation,so it is very necessary to involve social work.In order to help migrant children better adapt to urban life under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control,and actively respond to various pressures and difficulties in life.This study focuses on the practical needs of migrant workers' accompanying children's families.Based on the social adaptation needs of the accompanying children group,this study takes the social work practice as the support,and uses professional theoretical knowledge and work skills to provide professional guidance and perspective with the intervention of social work services to improve the social adaptation ability of the accompanying children.The author selects the Y community in Chengdu,which is the southwest economic center and has a large influx of migrant workers,as a case,and uses research methods such as questionnaire and interview to analyze the current situation and needs of the accompanying children's families in Y community.Based on the sorting and analysis of relevant data,the author organizes 8 pairs of accompanying children's families to carry out parent-child group work,and records the activity process in detail,including their behavior and ideas,Changes before and after activities,etc.Using social support theory,this paper analyzes personal life experience and constructs a support network.Around the three dimensions of children's social adaptation scale: social vitality,interpersonal friendliness and environmental satisfaction,seven group activities were carried out from the aspects of individual ability support,peer support,family support and community support to evaluate the process and results of the group.Guide their children to increase their understanding of the COVID-19,eliminate their fear,and strengthen their ability to prevent the COVID-19;Help them establish a good relationship with their parents and peers;Strengthen their familiarity with the living environment and enhance their sense of belonging.The study found that building and improving the social support system of migrant children,enhancing their social adaptability,giving full play to their own advantages and making full use of social resources can make the migrant children have continuous progress in social adaptation in the future,and can strengthen the psychological elasticity of migrant children to a certain extent,so that they can actively deal with sudden crises.
