The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of emotion and emotion regulation strategy on risk decision-making among university students in taekwondo athletes. It mainly uses literature method, experimental method, quantitative and qualitative analysis method, etc. In this study, emotion eliciting materials and risk decision making task materials that meet the requirements of this study and are suitable for the research object were screened out through two preliminary experiments. The effect of emotional induction and the subsequent emotional evaluation of the emotional induction materials are mainly realized by the five-point scale of emotional evaluation, supplemented by means of heart rate measurement and external behavior observation to ensure the relative accuracy.Risk decision task material testing and subsequent risk decision task testing were completed by self-compiled risk decision task testing system. Then two formal experiments were conducted to explore the influence of emotion on risk decision making, the influence of emotion regulation strategy on risk decision making, and the influence of emotion on emotion regulation strategy. The emotion regulation strategy was evaluated by the seven-point scale of emotion regulation. The experimental results showed that:(1)There is a correlation between emotion and risk decision making, and emotion affects the risk decision-making of University Taekwondo athletes. The stronger the positive emotion is,the more likely the athletes are to make risky offensive decisions; The stronger the negative emotion, the more likely the players are to make defensive decisions to avoid risks.(2)There is a correlation between emotion regulation strategy and the outcome of risk decision making, and emotion regulation strategies affect the risk decision-making of University Taekwondo athletes, which shows that the athletes who use cognitive reappraisal strategies tend to make risky offensive decisions;Athletes who use expression inhibition tend to make defensive decisions to avoid risks. Moreover, the correlation between the emotion regulation strategies used by athletes in positive emotion and risk decision-making results is stronger.(3)There is a correlation between emotion and emotion regulation strategy, and emotion affects the emotion regulation strategies of University Taekwondo athletes, which shows that the use of cognitive reappraisal increases with the increase of athletes' positive emotions and the increase of athletes' negative emotions; The use of expression inhibition decreases with the increase of athletes' positive emotions and increases with the increase of athletes' negative emotions, and the degree of male is higher than that of female.(4)There are relay effects in emotion regulation strategies, which are manifested as reinforcement mechanism and change mechanism.Specifically, the reinforcement mechanism occurs when the initial emotion of athletes is relatively strong, and the athletes regulate their emotion through emotion regulation strategy, which will further strengthen the relationship between the emotion and risk decision-making;The change mechanism occurs when the initial emotion of athletes is low,and the athletes will change the risk decision-making associated with the emotion by using the emotion regulation strategy.
