With the continuous development of society,the decrease of birth rate and the increase of the elderly population,the aging trend is becoming more and more serious.How to help the elderly spend their old age safely and truly realize the great vision of "six old" has become the focus of the party and the state.In the large group of the elderly,the five guarantees elderly,as a special vulnerable group,occupy an important position.For a long time,the five guarantees old people rely on state assistance to maintain their basic material life.With the continuous progress and development of productive forces and science and technology,This change means that the focus of people’s life lies in a better life,which includes not only material life,but also culture,culture and culture Democracy,the rule of law and a series of needs,However,the laws and regulations issued by the state only guarantee the basic material life of the five guarantees elderly to a certain extent,ignoring the unique spiritual needs of the vulnerable groups at the bottom of the society.In 2018,the State Council revised the law of the People’s Republic of China on the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly,changing the family support and upbringing in Chapter II to protect the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly,and setting the ninth day of the ninth lunar month as the old people’s day,so that more people in the society pay attention to the spiritual needs of the elderly,Especially the spiritual needs of the five guarantees elderly who are helpless.With the help of the "hand in hand plan" of Weifang civil affairs ministry,this project participates in the social work assistance activities of Shi lou County nursing home,and intervenes in the life of the elderly with five guarantees.In the process of intervention,through in-depth observation,unstructured interviews and other ways,we can understand the living conditions of the five guarantees elderly from four aspects of entertainment,emotional support,self-realization and social support,so as to find that these elderly people have problems such as single entertainment,weak emotional support,low self-worth and insufficient social interaction,Workers find out the causes,and use the method of social work,through the development of group activities,improve the living conditions of the elderly,improve their self-esteem and self-confidence.Finally,from the government,society,homes for the aged and social workers themselves put forward corresponding suggestions,to help the five guarantees elderly get the comprehensive development of spirit and life,meet the spiritual needs,improve interpersonal relations,improve the quality of life,improve the social support network,and finally achieve the goal of social stability and harmony.This study is mainly aimed at the five guarantees elderly who are provided by the government.We hope that through this study,we can increase the research and innovation on the theory of social work for the elderly,guide scholars to pay more attention to such vulnerable groups,seek a wide range of ways to meet the spiritual needs of the five guarantees elderly,truly realize the "six old",promote social stability,and make the people live and work in peace and contentment.
