With the development of aging and the change of family structure,the phenomenon of elderly living alone is becoming more and more common in cities.In addition to the physical decline of physical function and poor role conversion,the elderly living alone also lack company from their families and other caregivers.Their lifestyle is closed and social communication is simple,which is easy to cause loneliness,anxiety,depression and other bad emotions.Spiritual consolation needs to be improved.Against this background,this study takes the spiritual consolation of elderly people living alone in urban communities as the theme,and explores how social work intervenes and improves their spiritual consolation status.First of all,on the basis of the research results of predecessors,this paper divides spiritual consolation into four aspects: emotional support,interpersonal communication,spiritual entertainment and self-evaluation.Taking community H in a city as a research site,a combination of on-site observation,interviews and questionnaires is used to investigate the spiritual consolation of the elderly living alone in the community.It is found that there are insufficient emotional support,narrow interpersonal communication range,lack of spiritual entertainment and low self-evaluation in the current situation of spiritual consolation for the elderly living alone in the H community.The reasons for the spiritual consolation problem of the elderly living alone are analyzed,and it is believed that the reasons mainly include the single source of spiritual consolation,the poor role transformation,the obstacles to the digital divide and the lack of subjective initiative to obtain comfort.Secondly,eight elderly people living alone in the H community were selected to form a group,and the method of group work was used to intervene in the spiritual consolation of the elderly living alone in the community.By allowing team members to interact and communicate in the group,give full play to their subjective initiative,and build a mutual support network,so that team members can obtain the spiritual comfort they need from the interaction,improve their mental living conditions,and evaluate the effectiveness of the group’s work.Finally,it summarizes and reflects on the work practice of this group,and puts forward suggestions on how social work can better provide spiritual consolation services for the elderly living alone in cities.By summarizing the practical process,it is believed that the practice of this group’s work shows that: first,the spiritual consolation ability of the elderly living alone needs to be cultivated and stimulated;second,giving full play to the subjective initiative of the elderly living alone is conducive to the continuous satisfaction of spiritual consolation;third,group work intervention is conducive to improving the social communication of the elderly living alone. |
