Research On The Strategy Of Improving Health Services For The Elderly In Shanghai Putuo Library

In recent decades,the increasingly ageing problems have pushed forward higher requirements of ensuring the social pension services system.And the public has begun paying more attentions to the health conditions of the elderly,along with the construction of a health service social system for the elderly under the strategies of‘Healthy China' and active aging construction.The public libraries,who work as one of the main public service institutions and social cultural education institutions,are responsible for the health services for the elder group.The research will firstly apply questionnaire,literature review and online user researches to collect data of elderly group health condition,before matching it with the health requirements of the elderly people,analyzing the problems and potential causes by referring to international practices of librarian health service models.In this way,a new methodology that could improve the health services level of Shanghai Putuo Library,and health conditions and health literacy of the elder could be constructed verified.Through the investigation above,it is found that Putuo Library has provided special health services to the elderly at a lower level,with single form of health service,limited collections,lack of promotion and evaluation system,which could be caused by limitation of social conditions and service level.To deal with the problems,Putuo Library is encouraged to be more prepared,open,professional and experimental at a health service level,and stick to ‘five dimensional' services to subject,resources,object,content and effect,which includes diversified service cooperation network,improve service resource collection and organization system,subdivide service objects,expand service content,broaden service publicity and promotion channels,and establish service evaluation mechanism.The service strategy could be practical at both social,technology and economy level,with a guarantee of policy making,funding and brain supporting.In this way,some experiences and ideas could bring references to other public libraries.
