This paper takes the TV show "The Reader" as the research object,and discusses the production mechanism of "The Reader" from three aspects: the production mechanism,gatekeepers and ritual construction of the show program.This research focuses on this process,exploring how programming constructs national identities for audiences in production.The study found that the production mechanism of program production is the basis for the construction of national identity,in which program producers and directors play a key role in the content production of programs,and directors,producers and CCTV platforms also affect content production.The layered gates presented by the layered review mechanism are the way to build national identity.Based on the program features of “The Reader” and the ceremonial perspective of James Carey's dissemination,this paper focuses on the changes in the audience's cultural behavior caused by the dissemination ceremonies of the show program.The conclusion of the ritualized construction of the program.The "The Reader" show has contributed a unique power to build the audience's sense of national identity,and behind it reflects the political and cultural forces that affect the creation of TV literature and art.Through a detailed study of the production mechanism of "The Reader" program,the fundamental reasons for the success of the program are gradually revealed.It is gradually revealed that it is the content orientation of the program towards the mainstream ideology that makes the audience develop confidence in their own nation and culture in the process of watching the program.This is the spiritual demand of the audience in the current era,so the program can be successful and have a market.
