The concept of "identity" originally belonged to philosophical category,Freud first led this concept into the study of psychology. From different perspective on this theory field survey, the academic word had would This research will focus on the two key points,"mass media" and "group identity".this paper mainly discusses these questions: the role which the mass media plays in minority ethnic "identity", the national education,and the acept of protection and inheritance of minority national culture.The research based on a goup of Zhuang nationality in Naping village,because the Zhuang nationality is one of the most ancient nation, and at the same time, it has the largest population of ethnic minorities in China. In addition, the most of the Zhuang nationality were dispersed along the southwest of China, especially there are a big part of cross-border ethnic. So the circumstance is more complicated.In addition, many minorities don’t understand Chinese,and they turn to seek foreign medias of the similar languag and this would affect the "identity" of the party and national, even national unity, the stability in border areas, and build a harmonious society.The National identity is a long-standing problem. Purposely ignoring the obvious may also cause the opposite social influence and social effect. This paper fully explains and demonstrates the influence of the problem. So the research should make the government and relevant scholars pay enough attention.This is very necessary for the academic word to do dialectic research and rational reflection from the theoretical level at least.Between the mass media and the national identity, we must emphatically point out the influence of the mass media in minority nationality, economic, social and cultural development.The mass media is one of the most important toolfor dissemination and maintain ethnic identity.And it plays a very important role in forming legalization of social change, mobilizing the public and producing consensus process. Finally, media will change audiences’beliefs, attitudes and identity and even affect their reactions.In view of the thought upward, the article consists of five chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the cause of the subject and the ignificance, a general overview of ethnic identity research, the focusse, difficultise and the methods; The second chapter introduce the geographical conditions and the information environment of the Naping village.Chapter three and four are the key parts of this article.the third chapter mainly studies the characteristics of ethnic identity and content, and tries to argue the problem of ethnic identity and national identity through example analysis.The fourth chapter mainly analyses the contents and modes of the news about Zhuang nationality form the national, provincial and local mass media.Contrast the differences of media and reality about Zhuang nationality and Zhuang nationality culture by interview and example analysis, and analyse the causes of these differences.The fifth chapter is the last part, puts forward some opinions and suggestions within the reach of plain, which mainly based on the thought upward of the mass media and Zhuang nationality in Naping Village.
