With the progress of media technology,human knowledge dissemination activities have experienced oral communication,printing communication,electronic communication and now the new media communication.Before the appearance of writing,knowledge dissemination activities in human society were carried out through spoken language through the medium of sound.However,sound is fleeting,and only durable media knowledge can be retained for a long time,which is more conducive to knowledge dissemination.With the development of Internet technology,sound information is no longer fleeting,and sound media appear in a more diversified and integrated form in front of the public.In the new media environment dominated by visual culture,audio books platform opens up a new world in the era of visual communication by virtue of its sound characteristics,and provides a new development direction for knowledge dissemination.This article from the perspective of knowledge production and dissemination,and through the analysis of the observation and depth interview method,the new media era of the knowledge production and dissemination of audio books platform process to carry on the analysis,combined with the audio books platform content production main body,content,characteristics,transmission form,audience groups of observation,analysis,audio books present situation and problems of knowledge production and communication platform.While confirming that audio books promote knowledge sharing,emancipate the eyes and balance the senses,expand knowledge dissemination scenes,increase conversation topics and stimulate interest in reading,it also discusses the criticism caused by the rise of audio books platforms.For example,the limitation of audio content,intellectual property issues,the lack of knowledge value brought by the shallow reading of audio books and the insufficiency of knowledge service quality.Finally,the development strategy of audio books is discussed from four aspects: content construction,copyright management,value promotion and knowledge service.
