Research On Fake News Governance Based On Blockchain Technology

Adhering to the objective authenticity of news has always been an important principle of news ethics.However,since the birth of news,fake news has always followed suit,and even showed a growing trend with the development of the times.The production of news includes a series of complicated processes.The emergence of fake news is bound to be accompanied by the mistakes of news media in the news production process.Therefore,in order to explore how fake news is produced,this paper selects a total of 220 typical fake news cases selected by the magazine "Journalist" from 2001 to 2021 as samples,constructs six primary categories of "topic selection","source","interview","writing","editing" and "check" based on various processes in news production,and then divides them into 2-5secondary categories under the corresponding categories,On this basis,the samples are coded and analyzed in detail,and the causes of fake news are analyzed from the four news production processes of "topic selection","source","acquisition and writing" and "editor check".Finally,it is concluded that there are some problems in the process of news production of professional news media,such as deliberately creating novel topic selection,trusting single source,careless acquisition and writing,lack of gatekeeper position and so on.The frequent occurrence of fake news in professional media will do great harm to the news parties,the audience and the society,and even dispel the public's trust in the media.Therefore,it is urgent to explore ways to effectively reduce fake news.As an emerging technical means,blockchain technology's outstanding performance in finance,computer and other fields has triggered exploration on how to apply it in the news industry.Therefore,a large number of blockchain media platforms have emerged.These blockchain media platforms aim to use the characteristics of blockchain technology to realize the transformation of the existing news production mode.The unique advantages of blockchain technology,such as decentralization,data traceability and information tamperability,can just hit the pain point of the current fake news governance and have a good effect on the governance of fake news.Therefore,through the research on blockchain media platforms such as Steemit,DNN and Civil,this paper concludes that blockchain technology can accurately overcome the existing difficulties in the process of "topic selection","source","acquisition and writing" and "editing control" of news production.In the initial topic selection link of news,it innovates the news topic selection mode in the way of "crowdfunding" to ensure that the topic selection content is the interest of the audience;The traceability of source information reduces the possibility of information fraud from the source and increases the cost of information fraud at the same time;The audience participates in the content creation,and the writing process is supervised by the audience,which makes the writing process transparent and effectively reduces the content errors caused by negligence;At the same time,the distributed consensus of blockchain technology is used to check,and the content is reviewed as a whole in the last link before news publicity,so as to effectively reduce the generation of fake news and provide new ideas for preventing and controlling fake news.But at the same time,blockchain also has its limitations in fake news governance.The efficiency of blockchain technology makes the user experience of blockchain news platform poor;The content of the node cannot be equivalent to the real data of the blockchain;The underlying logic of blockchain may lead to the problems of content homogenization and value judgment dislocation.
