Enterprise social media(ESM),as a digital platform that can realize efficient communication and cooperation among employees in an organization,has been widely used by enterprises at home and abroad.Many enterprises are also developing their own enterprise social media.However,there are some difficulties in the design and implementation of ESM,which lead to poor use effect and affect the work performance of employees.In this case,enterprise managers are facing a difficult problem,that is,while using enterprise social media,they should master the correct attitude and management methods of enterprise social media,so as to give full play to its positive influence.However,in the related field of research,the existing literature research can not keep up with the pace of practical practice,there is a certain lag,there are many deficiencies,the impact mechanism of research is not clear.Therefore,this study will study the influence mechanism of ESM availability on job performance.In terms of research methods,firstly,by combing the existing research literature,we find the relationship between ESM and social capital and job performance;secondly,we establish a new research model and put forward the hypothesis of this paper.Thirdly,according to the mature scale of other scholars,the questionnaire was made,and the pre survey and formal survey were carried out.Finally,the paper analyzes the formal survey data,and uses SPSS and Amos for empirical analysis to verify the model and hypothesis.The results show that the visibility and relevancy of ESM have an indirect positive impact on employee performance through social capital,while persistence has an indirect impact on employee performance through trust and editability through social interaction.The contribution of this paper lies in the interdisciplinary introduction of academic theory--the theory of availability,and the introduction of social capital theory,taking into account both material and social nature,which enriches and perfects the existing theory;breaking through the existing shackles of qualitative research,this paper adopts the research approach of empirical analysis;the research results have two benefits for enterprises:(1)making enterprises develop soft assets(2)to help enterprises understand how social media affects employees' work performance.
