Research On The Symbol Changes Of Blessing Culture In Social Media ——A Case Study Of Weibo 2012-2020

With the development of social media,the act of reposting "koi" prayers has gradually become popular in cyberspace.Many netizens have invested in this lucky game.The blessing culture is being hit and challenged like never before.From "Guanyin Bodhisattva","Four Leaf Clover" to "Koi" to "Yang Chaoyue" and "Xin xiaodai"...The form and meaning of the blessing symbols are constantly being constructed and disseminated,and the online community is constantly relying on the "unconventional" symbol to express one's own demands.Based on this,this article uses social network related theories and semiotics to build a three-layer analysis framework at the symbolic level-contextual level-cultural level,trying to analyze the core laws and characteristics of symbolic changes in the blessing culture in social media,and further explore the development context of blessing culture.First of all,this article uses the idea of vocabulary link to obtain keywords for collecting textual materials related to blessing culture,and use these keywords to retrieve and download data to build the text corpus needed for this article's research.Secondly,semantic network analysis is performed based on the constructed text corpus,and the analysis is performed according to the three steps of high-frequency keyword extraction,high-frequency keyword co-occurrence matrix construction,and high-frequency keyword co-occurrence map.Finally,the results of data analysis are interpreted through semiotic analysis,semantic interpretation and description of symbols are carried out from the symbolic level,the dissemination context of the text is studied from the contextual level,and the ideology and social cognition behind cultural phenomena are analyzed from the cultural level.The study found that the symbolic changes of blessing culture in social media have both phase differences and core development and change laws.The phase differences are mainly reflected in symbol characteristics,communication context and commercialization tendency.Communication context also includes communication subject and communication audience,time and space of communication.From the perspective of overall development and changes,there are three major trends in the development of blessing culture in social media: First,from the perspective of symbol characteristics,the signifier forms of blessing symbols are gradually diversified,while the signified connotation is retained;second,from the context of communication,the blessings in social media break through the limitations of time and space,the scenes of blessings are more routine,and the objects of blessings are more extensive;third,blessing culture is increasingly showing a commercial tendency.The development of blessing culture in social media still cannot be separated from the context of traditional blessing culture.However,traditional blessing culture is facing the development of new media technology and is constantly encountering communication challenges,including the weakening of discourse and the dissolution of the sense of behavior and ritual,and the impact of foreign culture.
