With the advent of the era of mobile Internet,short video has become a normal medium expression and a new platform for social communication.The year 2020 is defined as the first year of video socialization in China.The number of short video users exceeds 800 million.We are accelerating into a brand new “video socialization era”.With the rise of mobile short video,“Tu Wei” culture has sprung up in the spread of short video,sweeping the whole network with its unique “Tu Wei” style and characteristics,and evolving into a network subculture phenomenon.“Tu Wei” culture is a kind of interesting network subculture,which is formed by a group of “Tu Wei” interest community based on the interesting disposition of social network,and has the characteristics of “resistance”“stylization” and “margin” and so on.From the point of view of the rise path,“Tu Wei” videos created by producers have been “spread” due to the“poaching” of opinion leaders,and have become popular in the participatory communication of fans.The main factors that promote the flourishing of “Tu Wei” culture are media empowerment,fans economy and the psychology of judging ugliness.“Tu Wei” culture has its unique style features,especially represented by collage-style shouting “Tu Wei” wheat shouting,isomorphic sculpting“Tu Wei” social shaking,and therapeutic aesthetic “Tu Wei” life show.These style characteristics have also become the logo of this community.As a constructed “signifier”,the symbol label of “Tu Wei” is constructed in the interaction of mass media,“Tu Wei” tribal group and mainstream culture.In fact,the “Tu Wei” style represents the real social structure and symptoms of the times: the underclass youth desire to break through the suppression of discourse power through performance,the marginalized groups desire to build collective identity within the circle,and the rural groups desire to show the real situation of daily life.Producers who are mainly young people in towns and cities and viewers who are mainly young people in cities are both important subjects in the field of “Tu Wei” culture.“Tu Wei” culture reflects their shared emotional anxiety and cultural identity.For rural youth,they either reach emotional connection by means of ritual resistance,or indulge in selfimagination,or seek for collective memory of the past through “nostalgia”.For urban youth,what they recognize is the authentic reflection experience brought by it,the integration of urban culture and rural culture,as well as the traditional folk culture contained in it,which is also the greatest value significance of “Tu Wei” culture.However,as a social and cultural phenomenon,we must examine the chaos of problems in it.It is not only incorporated into the commercial gimmick of cultural goods,but also lead to the participants in the carnival loss of rationality,more in the audience's visual examination of ugliness become the object of appreciation.Therefore,the platform should improve the construction of the platform,producers should create high-quality content,viewers should be more rational to treat the “Tu Wei” culture.Only in this way can we guide the sustainable development of “Tu Wei” culture in a positive and healthy direction.
