Research On Domestic Violence Reports Of Legal Daily From 2011 To 2019

This paper selects reports of Legal Daily which focus on domestic violence from January 2011 to December 2019 as samples for analysis.Based on the theoretical agenda setting,this research uses text analysis and content analysis.Moreover,it concentrates on exploring how to construct framework of news reports for domestic violence and discuss the relevant characteristics and rules,it can help related media to learn and improve the construction and dissemination strategies of domestic violence on maco-level.Firstly,this paper sorts out the research status of domestic and foreign reports on the topic of domestic violence,and summarizes related theories.Meanwhile,it effectively defines the behavior of domestic violence and the scope of the subject in related reports of domestic violence.The sample of the study is analyzed and summarized from five dimensions: the report theme,tendency of news,source of news report,the form of news,the report length.On this basis,in order to explore the regulation of the press further,the research uses domestic violence reporting guidelines as the standard.The study finds four problems: there is unbalance phenomenon in the related reports of domestic violence;the victim is described with stereotype;the voice of the parties is lacked;and the attention of the male victim is absent.These aspects are the main weakness of the reports from Legal Daily.In response to the deficiencies of the reports from Legal Daily,this paper proposes that the Legal Daily can give full play to the role of media agenda setting,implement the balance source of news principle,insist to the objective and self-discipline principle of the media,and attach the importance of different voices from all parties.These suggestions in this paper attempts to improve the deficiencies of Legal Daily in the construction of domestic violence reports,so that it can further play a positive role in intervening and stopping the domestic violence.
