A Study Of Russia's E-Book Industry From The View Of Industry Chain

With the acceleration of the global digital process,e-book publishing industry has made remarkable achievements in many countries.The major publishing powers in the world,such as the United States,Britain,Germany and Japan,have formed a fairly perfect industrial system.In recent years,the rise of self-service publishing has injected new vitality into the e-book industry,and the future development prospect of e-book market has attracted much attention.Compared with the European and American publishing powers,Russia's e-book industry started late,and its development process is full of twists and turns because of the particularity of its national conditions.In view of the historical origin and today's friendly and mutual development relationship between China and Russia,this paper selects Russia's e-book industry as the research object,and uses the methods of literature research and case analysis to analyze its development process,industrial status and industrial chain structure.This paper makes a systematic analysis in order to draw some lessons and enlightenment,and provide some reference for the development of e-book industry in China.This paper consists of six main chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part.Firstly,through the analysis of the typicality of the research object and the necessity of the research,the research background and significance are briefly introduced.Then,the basic definitions of “ebook”,“e-book industry” and “digital publishing industry chain” are mainly discussed.Several mainstream views on the structure of digital publishing industry chain in the current academic circles are elaborated,and some suggestions are put forward Based on the views adopted in this paper,this paper puts forward the definition of e-book industry chain and the theoretical basis of the research.Finally,it introduces the current research status of Russia's publishing industry and Russian e-books at home and abroad,and summarizes the research methods and innovation of this paper.The second chapter is the general situation of the development of Russia's e-book industry.Firstly,the macro development environment of Russia's e-book industry is elaborated by PEST analysis,including political environment,economic environment,social and cultural environment and technical environment.Generally speaking,Russia's e-book industry is in a good development environment.Then,the development process of Russia's e-book industry is discussed in detail,it rose in the middle and late1990 s,gradually formed the e-book Industry in the first decade of the 21 st century,and really entered the stage of rapid development from 2010 to 2020.Finally,in the section of industry status,it introduces the market scale of Russia's digital publishing and ebook industry at this stage,and explains the complete structure of the e-book industry chain and the foothold of this study.The third chapter is the analysis of the main production activities of enterprises in the upstream of the industry chain-e-book content production.On the one hand,traditional publishers provide rich content resources for the e-book Industry through the digitization of paper books.On the other hand,the rise of self-service publishing also develops new author resources and original e-books.In addition,it analyzes the preference of e-book content types produced by traditional publishers and self-service publishers.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the main activities of the enterprise in the middle reaches of the industrial chain-e-book content processing.It mainly analyzes the role of technology providers from two aspects of text format and copyright protection technology.It also introduces the activities of terminal equipment manufacturers from the perspective of the competition in the terminal market and the main manufacturers of e-book readers,and selects representative cases for analysis.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the main activities of e-book content distribution,which is downstream of the industrial chain.It mainly selects two types of distribution platforms: integrated e-book distribution platform and e-commerce platform,and describes their profit model and market competition,and adds typical case analysis.The sixth chapter is the development experience of Russia's e-book Industry and its enlightenment to China,mainly puts forward three enlightenments from the three links of the industry chain.In the content production link,e-book publishers should adhere to the content and platform and technology,traditional publishers and digital publishers should break the traditional shackles,and actively expand new business areas.In the content processing link,strengthen the content management Independent innovation is the top priority,which is reflected in the fight against piracy to adhere to the legal,institutional and technical means simultaneously,and to strengthen the development of local reader brand.In the content distribution link,we must promote the development of diversified integration,on the one hand,we should expand the scope of subdivision business in the industry,on the other hand,we should balance the demand through product diversification,and guide readers to develop the habit of deep reading.The last part of the conclusion summarizes and prospects the previous research.
