In the 21st century, the development of e-book industry is rapidly. What is e-book? Press and Publication Administration's views on the development of e-book industry said:e-book refers to the text, images, audio, video and other digital information content of publications. In this article, specifically refers to the number of implants or download text, images, audio, video and other content, which set of storage media and display terminal in one of the handheld reader. Especially in the last three years, the rapid development of e-book market has greatly changed the book publishing industry development trend, the way of publishing has more diverse forms. E-books and traditional books evenly divided the market.In my paper, I starting from the concept of e-book, make a brief overview of e-book's definition, characteristics, composition of the industrial chain, and the current state of development. Academic research for industrial chain is variety. According to Professor Liu Fugui's article Classification of Industrial Chain, and paper Classification of industrial chain and the type of publishing industry chain by Fang Qing from the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, there are three types of properties in traditional book publishing industry chain. Based on this theory, we can deduce the e-book industry chain.I used the basic concepts of industrial economics—the industry chain as the starting point, contrast the traditional books and e-book's publishing process. Based on the different classification and property of the traditional book industry chain, I analyzed three different modes of industry chain—traditional resource oriented,technology, production, operating comprehensive joint action oriented, and based on the interdependence of upstream and downstream enterprises of oriented. And explored the e-book industry chain's continuation and development trends.I used the Industrial Economics and Communication knowledge, analyzed the current e-book industry chain's integration problems and causes. Nowadays, e-book industry chain have three forces, they are reflected with each other. In the published communication, it register as content, platform and hardware vendors three parties mutual restraint. At the present time, the development of the industry chain has not to form a good mode of operation. Finally, I tried according to the reality of the industrial chain, combined with my understanding and expectations, previewed the future of e-book market.
