In recent years,with the rapid development of short video industry,beauty makeup short video has stood out in many vertical fields,especially male beauty makeup bloggers rise to prominence.By virtue of their gender advantages,professional makeup technology and personalized content expression and creative output,they have won the favor of more and more users and capital.At present,male makeup short video has produced a large number of high-quality content,with rich types,fine production and relaxed keynote to bring the audience a strong visual experience and infection,has been highly emotional recognition.The explosive popularity of beauty platforms,the emergence of beauty experts,and the refresh of beauty content are staging a large-scale,long-lasting and complex consumption feast and cultural carnival,which not only leads our lifestyle,but also subtly changes the concepts and cognition of the whole society.Male beauty short videos not only spread beauty knowledge to people,but also carry the important functions of emotional comfort and opposite sex observation.They also export beauty culture and consumption concept together while conveying life attitude,so that people can get interactive fun,emotional pleasure and even consumption carnival in an open and free platform.This paper mainly takes male beauty short videos as the research object,Li Jiaqi,"Lipstick Brother No.1" as the case study.Combined with the theory of consumerism and the theory of carnivalry,the phenomenon of the spread of short videos of male beauty is generally discussed,and the depth value and attributes are tried to explore.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The introduction part aims to clarify the background of the topic and the significance of the research,and to summarize and summarize the relevant theories and the research results of the short video of beauty makeup.The first chapter summarizes the development of short videos on male beauty,defines and classifies its key concepts and specific types,and analyzes the characteristics of short videos on male beauty with the reference of traditional short videos on female beauty.The second chapter takes beauty blogger Li Jiaqi as a case and some short videos released by his account on Tik Tok as samples to discuss its communication content,communication strategies and communication effects with examples.Based on the carnival theory and consumerism theory,the third chapter interprets the cultural and economic phenomena in the dissemination of short videos of male makeup,and discusses their external characteristics and internal factors respectively.The fourth chapter reflects on many phenomena in the dissemination of short videos of male beauty makeup,and deeply reflects on its social influence,development path and guiding governance,in order to provide reference for the operation and research of similar short videos.In this paper,compared with the traditional female beauty videos,male beauty videos have unique advantages and attractions in terms of gender,perspective and content,and their content is more colorful.Combined with the current situation of the short video industry,the development of male beauty video is leading the trend.However,the essence and dregs coexist,and its content production and dissemination need to be further improved and standardized.In this process,the subject of short video creation should bear the corresponding media responsibilities,and the audience should not forget the value and pursuit of returning to real life while enjoying the spiritual pleasure of freedom,equality and openness.In addition,the prevalence of male consumption reflects the progress of The Times from the side,but in essence,it is still the inherent control of women under the patriarchal power.Behind the phenomenon of male consumption,there are more reflections on capital,media,culture and feminism,which are worth exploring.
