The Narrative Analysis Of The Main Theme TV Drama "The Age Of Awakening"

Main theme films and dramas usually refer to those works with political and current affairs overtones and with the main theme of promoting the socialist theme of the times.As a tribute to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Communist Party of China,"The Age of Awakening" takes the experience of running the magazine "New Youth" as the background of the times,profoundly reveals the inevitability of the Marxist Sinicization and the founding of the Chinese Communist Party.Since its launch on CCTV,the drama has been at the top of the ratings,with a score of 9.3 on Douban,one of the country's most popular review aggregators.which has aroused heated debate in the whole society,especially among the youth.This study takes the main theme drama "The Age of Awakening" as the object of study,and uses classical narrative as the theoretical basis,combined with theories of communication and film linguistics,and using case studies and textual anaylsis method to analyze and summarize the narrative characteristics of "The Age of Awakening" from different perspectives,in order to bring inspiration and reference to the creation of future main theme dramas from the narrative perspective.This study is divided into the following parts:the first part analyzes the narrative content of "The Age of Awakening" from two perspectives:narrative theme and narrative characters;the second part analyzes the narrative structure of the play from narrative perspectives and narrative plots;the third part analyzes the visual and auditory language features of "The Age of Awakening" with detailed examples.The analysis reveals that the play "The Age of A wakening" has the narrative characteristics of integrating details into the grand theme,integrating artistic creation into real history,and integrating the materialistic view of history into a youthful expression,which contributes to enhancing the storytelling and the value of appreciation of historical events and characters and provide experience and methods for the creation of subsequent main theme film and television works.In the study of the melodramatic film and television works represented by "The Age of Awakening",this study only explores the text itself from a narrative perspective but lacks research on the production and audience sides of the film and television.It is expected that subsequent studies will explore the reasons for the success of this work from more perspectives and in a more comprehensive manner.
