Literary Spread Under The Influence Of Film And Television Media

Since the20th century, with the continuous updating and development of electronic technology, film and television media has grown rapidly, and soon has become the media overlord which has had the huge influence and appeal.Film and television media has absorbed the nutrition of literature since it was born,and promoted literature from the ivory tower into the homes of ordinary people、from the "small minority" to "the public" as a powerful spread channel of the literature,so that the literature as a universal spiritual food has been widely knew by the public.At the beginning literature was used to spread by the film and television media, and then it actively pandered to the interest of the film and television media to spread, and finally it changed under the influence of film and television media, this whole process of literature changed was also the development of film and television media and literature’s interaction.The impact of film and television media on the literary spread, was not just the inheritance and promotion,more literature’s transformation which caused new literary styles—scripts of film and television and television literature to happen, it extended literary genre and literary content,formed great significance.However,all things are double-edged sword.Under the market economy of the age of electronic media, that film and television media married with literature,more or less lost some of their own independent character.For fame and fortune,film and television media ignoring its social responsibility,and could not be the qualified gatekeeper in the choice of literary material,so that manufactured many low-level TV drama with the relatively superficial contents which is able to entertain the public;literature in order to meet,and ignored the elegant character,so many vulgar literature was born, and the traditional spirit of literary was abandoned; and there are many writers abandoned the traditional literary creation, turned to write the script and finally became a playwright;the rise of popular literature and the regression of pure literature changed the public’s aesthetic taste and the taste for literature, caused a non-virtuous circle of literary spread and acceptance,many people started to worry the way out of the traditional literature, and feared the film and television media dispelling literary will,more feared new literature coming from the influence of film and television media would seize the living space of the traditional literature.This paper will survey the spread and impact of the film and television media to literature from the view of media,take respective changes of the film media、television media and literary development as background; take Qiong Yao’s novels as a case to analyse whether the combination of literature and film can achieve a double-win situation, or dispel the independent character of the literary; and present the new literary styles under the influence of film and television media to literature,in order to have a full understanding about why the film and TV media and literature marry、how they marry and the results of their marriage.
