With the rapid development of modern science and integrated circuit technology,various new radar systems are emerging in military and civil fields.In order to ensure that the radar system can reach the expected target,a lot of testing work is needed in its development process.This thesis designs a high-performance,real-time multi-channel fiber optic radar echo simulation system for the problems of high manpower and material cost and long time periods when the radar system is tested in the field.The system adopts the design architecture of PCIe+FPGA+DDR3+GTX.The radar targets in different scenes can be built with the cooperation of the upper computer software,and multiple digital array radar targets and clutter and interference echo signals can be sent out from the fiber channel.The main work completed in this thesis is as follows:In this thesis,the research background and significance of radar echo simulation system are described in detail,and the theoretical knowledge related to radar target simulation technology is discussed,the composition of digital array radar echo signal is analyzed and the model of target echo signal is established.At the same time,combining with the functional requirements,performance indexes of the multi-channel fiber radar echo simulation system and the system architecture of PCIe+FPGA+DDR3+GTX,this thesis discusses the design of the system in detail from two aspects of hardware structure design and software module realization.Then,according to the design scheme and functional requirements of the multi-channel optical fiber radar echo simulation system,this thesis chooses Xilinx Virtex-7 series FPGA as the main control chip of the system for functional development and realization,and uses the top-down design method of FPGA to divide and realize the functional modules of the system.In order to facilitate maintenance and upgrade,the entire FPGA design is based on the AXI4 bus.PCIe transmission module,DDR3 reading module,echo data calculation module,and optical fiber transmission module are the key and difficult modules in design,these modules in conjunction with the other logic control modules of synergy can realize the functions of the system.The FPGA program can be debugged and tested on the hardware platform of the system.The signals in each module can be observed through the online logic analyzer inside the integrated development platform Vivado.According to the time sequence relationship of the observed signal,the FPGA design of the system realizes the functional requirements of the multi-channel optical fiber radar echo simulation system.At last,the control function of the multi-channel optical fiber radar echo simulation system is introduced and tested,and the operating correctness of the radar echo simulation system is verified.The FPGA design of this system can realize the data transmission,the acquisition of configuration information and the interaction of commands through the PCIe communication link with the cooperation of the upper computer software,and realize the real-time generation and optical transmission of multiple digital array radar target echoes,jamming and clutter signals on the hardware platform.The multi-channel optical fiber radar echo simulation system realized in this thesis has been tested and verified to meet the requirements completely,and has the advantages of good realtime,high flexibility,good versatility and convenient operation,which has a certain engineering significance for the test improvement of the actual digital array radar.
