Blockchain Platform Selection Of Cross-border E-commerce Based On Requirements

On 24 October 2019,during the 18th collective study of the Central Political Bureau,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed the importance of blockchain as an important breakthrough in independent innovation of core technologies,marking the rise of blockchain to a national strategic height.Various industries have started to experiment with the application of blockchain technology,and cross-border e-commerce enterprises are increasingly considering the incorporation of blockchain technology into their system construction.The core functions of blockchain,such as distributed bookkeeping,cryptocurrency and smart contracts,effectively solve the problems of low logistics efficiency,low payment security and proliferation of counterfeit goods in the cross-border e-commerce sector.An important issue for cross-border e-commerce companies to consider when applying blockchain technology is how to choose the right blockchain technology platform;the wrong choice may affect the performance of the system or even lead to project failure.However,there are too many different blockchain technology platforms on the market,and it becomes a challenge to choose the right blockchain technology platform.This paper attempts to solve this problem and provide a method for cross-border e-commerce companies to make blockchain technology platform selection.This paper starts from the demand for blockchain technology platforms by cross-border e-commerce enterprises.It first identifies the cross-border e-commerce subjects that need to apply the blockchain technology platform,namely cross-border payment enterprises,cross-border logistics enterprises and cross-border e-commerce platforms.On this basis,the needs of each cross-border e-commerce subject for the blockchain technology platform are identified by analysing which functions the blockchain technology platform has and which problems of cross-border e-commerce can be effectively solved.And then the demand preference information is collected using the questionnaire survey method,and the demand preference of each cross-border e-commerce subject is determined using the group evaluation method based on language distribution evaluation.Based on the demand analysis,a demand-guided cross-border e-commerce blockchain technology platform selection model was constructed as follows: firstly,based on the House of Quality(Ho Q)and linguistic distribution evaluation methods,the demand information and demand preference information were converted into indicator information and its indicator weight information;secondly,Combined with the characteristics of cross-border e-commerce blockchain technology platform selection,this paper designs a decision-making method,and uses this method to select the decision-making method suitable for cross-border e-commerce blockchain technology platform selection,namely PROMETHEE II,and then use the PROMETHEE II method to select the best platform from alternative blockchain technology platforms for each cross-border e-commerce subject respectively.Finally,the constructed model is applied to the case of cross-border e-commerce blockchain technology platform selection.The most suitable blockchain technology platform for cross-border payment companies is Quorum,the most suitable blockchain technology platform for cross-border logistics companies is Hyperledger Fabric,the most suitable blockchain technology platform for cross-border e-commerce platforms is Hyperledger Fabric,and the most suitable blockchain technology platform for cross-border payment,cross-border logistics and commodity traceability for cross-border e-commerce platforms is Hyperledger Fabric.Some of the selected results are consistent with real-life application examples,which validate the scientific nature of the model.Finally,a few suggestions are provided for the application implementation after the selection of blockchain technology platform for cross-border e-commerce.First,adjust the scope of application according to the current situation;second,choose the appropriate deployment method of the underlying chain when building the alliance chain;third,carry out reasonable planning and management of the data on the chain.
