Research On Business Model Of Cross-border E-commerce Platform Based On Blockchain

With the development of Internet technology,the business models of cross-border e-commerce platforms are constantly emerging.However,due to the limitations of the Internet technology,there have been some shortcomings in these business models.For example,the business model goal of cross-border e-commerce platforms is centered on the interests of the platform,and the trust cost under the business model is too high and so on.In recent years,blockchain technology is concerned by all parties.The technology has new features such as decentralization and data tamper resistance.The cross-border e-commerce platforms also begins to explore its impact on the platform business model,such as whether it can make up for the shortcomings of the traditional model,whether it can bring new opportunities in platform business model innovation and so on.This paper first analyzes the current mainstream business model of cross-border e-commerce platform based on Internet technology,pointing out their characteristics and deficiencies.Secondly,from the theoretical perspective,analyzing the feasibility of building business model of a cross-border e-commerce platform based on blockchain.Thirdly,taking silk chain as an example,analyzing its business model with the"three-dimensional conceptual model",and comparing the difference in business models between silkchain and traditional cross-border e-commerce platforms,as wellas between silkchain and cross-border e-commerce platforms based on a public chain.The case study finds that the business models of silkchain can make up for the shortcomings of the traditional cross-border e-commerce model,but there are still some limitations if compared to cross-border e-commerce platforms based on public chains,such as the business model of the silk chain relies heavily on traditional cross-border e-commerce platforms to provide industry resources and experience.Finally,based on the theoretical and case study results,the business model of cross-border e-commerce platform based on blockchain is analyzed and summarized,and relevant policy recommendations are put forward on this basis.
