In recent years,with the continuous development of strong electromagnetic pulse technology,the threat of complex electromagnetic environment to electronic equipment has become increasingly severe.With the increasing miniaturization and integration of electronic equipment,the sensitivity and vulnerability of electronic equipment to electromagnetic pulse are becoming increasingly serious.Because the magnitude of the strong electromagnetic pulse coupling through the front door of electronic communication equipment is very large.So it is very important to study the coupling protection technology of the front door of electronic equipment.Energy Selective Surface(ESS)is a passive strong electromagnetic pulse protection structure,which can adaptively limit the amplitude of HPM and effectively solve the compatibility problem between low-energy RF signal reception and HPM protection..At present,the research on ESS at home and abroad is mainly focused on the protection of HPM-NS.Based on the transmission line theory and filter design principle,this thesis studies the protection ESS design method for HPM-UWB,which is helpful to improve and optimize the protection of strong electromagnetic pulse.In this thesis,the relationship between the SE of the metal wire mesh and the protective characteristics of the ESS is studied based on the leakage mechanism of different forms of holes.It also analyzes the protective performance of the ESS with different structures that are ideally connected to provide a basis for the selection of the ESS structure.Then the transmission line model and equivalent circuit model of the ESS are studied,and the key factors affecting the protection performance of the ESS are obtained.Analyzed the response characteristics of ESS for typical HPM-UWB and HPM-NS protection.And The combination of PIN diode and ESS patch unit for different types of HPM protection is determined.The CST simulation software is used to compare and analyze the protection performance of energy selective surfaces with different structures.Taking the hexagonal structure as the unit form of the energy selective surface,the decoupling simulation analysis of the influence factors of its transmission characteristics is carried out,and then the influence of each single element on the protection performance of the energy selective surface is obtained through the numerical fitting method.Combined with ADS circuit simulation software,the transient start-up characteristics of ESS under HPM irradiation and under microwave emission state were simulated and analyzed.According to the design index requirements,based on the multi-parameter optimization design idea,the feasible range of ESS structure parameters and PIN diode characteristic parameters are obtained.Combining the actual packaging products of PIN diodes and the influence of processing technology,the ESS structure parameters and PIN diode model for HPM-UWB protection were determined,and the simulation check of ESS was completed according to the design results.Finally,the test sample production and protection performance test have been completed.The test results show that the insertion loss of the ESS for HPM-UWB protection is less than3 d B at 0?2GHz.Under HPM-UWB irradiation,when the incident field strength exceeds13 k V/m,the protection isolation is greater than 20 d B.Under HPM-NS irradiation,when the incident field strength exceeds 6k V/m,the peak isolation is greater than 19 d B,and the flat top isolation is greater than 22 d B.
