In modern warfare,electronic equipment is becoming more sophisticated,the impact of EMP weapons on electrical facilities and systems also become more and more profound,which has made considerable development and wide application.In order to cope with the high-power electromagnetic environment and improve the security and stability of information facilities,effective methods of electromagnetic protection have become increasingly significant.Energy Selective Surface,as a new concept based on the study of frequency selective surface,can achieve the desired filtering characteristics by using periodic structure.In addition to selecting the frequency of incoming electromagnetic waves,it can also filter the magnitude of electromagnetic wave energy.Within the designed safety threshold,electromagnetic wave is allowed to pass through with little loss,while the high-power microwave,which has the greater energy than the safety threshold,is greatly attenuated.Simply speaking,it can play an adaptive role to the external electromagnetic environment effect.It ensures that the internal sophisticated electronic devices and systems can operate normally and be protected from damage from high-power microwave weapons.In this paper,I have carried out a detailed study on the protective effect of energy selective surface,and the specific research work is as follows:The first part is the electromagnetic environment in which the equipment operates is investigated based on the frequency band and transmission and reception characteristics of the airborne antenna.According to the effect of highpower electromagnetic environment,the coupling way of the receiver is studied in this paper.In order to deal with the front door coupling,the energy selective surface is chosen as the means of electromagnetic protectionIn the second part,I studies the working principle of energy selective surface,and choose the appropriate PIN diode by comparison.Through simulation,I get the conduction threshold of PIN diode coupled by electromagnetic field and its equivalent circuit.The third part simulates different types of energy selective surface elements,analyses their transmission and shielding characteristics,and obtains the influence factors of the insertion loss?bandwidth and the isolation degree when shielding of the energy selective surface transmitting electromagnetic wave,.For example,the structure of the unit,the size of each unit,the large angle change of oblique incidence,the different polarization of electromagnetic wave,etc.In the fourth part,based on the previous research,the design experience of electromagnetic energy selection surface for different cell types is accumulated.Two different units of broadband energy selective surface for L-band are proposed and processed in kind.According to the existing conditions,several different types of testing methods are investigated and tested.The results of simulation and actual measurements are in good agreement,which verifies the performance of the energy selective structure studied.
