As a classic antenna array structure,the patch array antenna has the advantages of low cost,simple structure and easy integration,and is widely used in modern radio systems such as wireless communication,radar detection and imaging.When the frequency continues to rise to the millimeter wave band,the efficiency of the antenna drops significantly due to the severe loss and discontinuity at the bend of the microstrip line.Therefore,a low-loss feeder network is required.The traditional patch array antenna generally cannot achieve broadband performance due to the resonance characteristics of its antenna unit.Excited parasitic patches and the use of stacked structures are several common and effective solutions to improve the bandwidth performance of patch array antennas.The stacked structural.elements utilize the coupling between the bottom and top layers to realize the spatial excitation.In order to meet the requirements of large-scale and broadband performance of patch array antenna,two stacked hybrid feed network structure antenna arrays are proposed.The hybrid feed network adopts the stacked antenna feeding mode,and combines the microstrip feed network with the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW)feed network or the stacked feed network,and each has its own advantages,so as to achieve the performance requirements of high compactness and low loss of the antenna.This article mainly designs two different types of patch antenna arrays.The first one uses SIW as feeding,and each slot is fed with four patch units on the upper layer to achieve high gain of the antenna array;the second adopts driven-parasitic patch model structure,the driven patch is excited with the high-order mode,the parasitic patch is grooved and the coupling slot shape is improved to achieve a great expansion of the impedance bandwidth.Both structure types use multilayer printed circuit board technology to achieve high integration and planarization of the array.They have very broad application prospects in the fields of millimeter wave communications and radar applications.
