With the rapid development of wireless mobile communication industry,the demand of communication rate increases.The low-frequency band is becoming more and more crowded,while the millimeter wave(MMW)band has wide coverage and wide band,so it has a wide application prospect.In order to meet the needs of broadband and high-speed wireless communication in 5 G era,it is necessary to research and design the MMW array antenna with broadband and high gain.Thus,based on the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW)feeding network,this paper designs three innovative MMW array antennas with wide band,high gain and good consistency.The main research contents and innovations of this paper are as follows:1?Firstly,a 4 × 4 m slot patch array antenna is proposed and implemented based on the SIW feed network and LTCC process design.The m-type slot patch structure provides a good impedance matching bandwidth.The SIW structure with discontinuous width improves the transmission conversion bandwidth from SIW to coaxial.Using the soft surface structure to suppress the array surface wave,the bandwidth of 4 ×4m slot patch array antenna is 19.2%(34.3-41.7 GHz),the maximum gain of array simulation is 18.5dBi,and the radiation efficiency is 83%.The sidelobe level suppression of array antenna is greater than 13.4dB,and the cross polarization level is lower than-30dB.2?Secondly,an L-type coaxial fed broadband,high gain 4 × 4 magnetoelectric dipole array antenna is proposed,which can further improve the impedance bandwidth of the array antenna.The step matching method is used to design the broadband SIW to coaxial structure,which is combined with the L-type coaxial probe fed magnetoelectric dipole antenna to form a broadband SIW fed electromagnetic dipole antenna unit;In order to improve the antenna array gain,SIW structure with low transmission loss is used to design the power division feedding network.The method of dielectric grooving is used to suppress the surface wave,which can broaden the impedance bandwidth,improve the gain and greatly optimize the radiation performance of antenna array pattern.The impedance bandwidth of the designed 4 × 4 array antenna is 48%(25.6-34.7GHz),and the simulation maximum gain is 18.2dBi,-3dB gain bandwidth is 42%(25.6-39.5GHz),and the radiation efficiency is 82%.The simulated sidelobe level suppression of the antenna array is greater than 13dB,and the overall cross polarization level is lower than-35dB.3?Finally,in order to reduce the complexity of multi-layer LTCC process design and processing cost,a 2 × 4 broadband SIW inclined diamond slot array antenna is proposed based on the single-layer PCB structure.By adding a non resonant long slot,the isolation degree of the subarray is increased by 5dB.The simulation impedance bandwidth of 2×4 array antenna is 22.8%(28.2-35.5GHz),the maximum gain is 15.5dBi,and the sidelobe level suppression of E-plane and H-plane is greater than 20dB and 13dB respectively.
