The popularization of thousand-yuan smart phones and the propelling of the Internet have provided the hardware foundation for rural teenagers to get access to the Internet.The update and upgrading of key technologies of Kuaishou short video platform and the support of rural traffic have built a software bridge for self-presentation of rural teenagers.Rural teenagers have limited entertainment conditions,lack of social interaction in reality,short videos are instant shooting and transmission,simple creation and strong interaction,etc.,which meet the interaction needs of this group and become the majority of rural teenagers' choices for online self-presentation.Rural teenagers groups generally have problems such as generational parenting gap and absence of family guidance.Starting from the social education function of the media,as one of the main application platforms of short video,Kuaishou is expected to help rural teenagers groups to complete self-presentation and realize phased growth of identity to some extent.First of all,rural teenagers are at a critical age for the growth of self-awareness.The relatively closed rural growth environment makes this group curious and sensitive to the external world.Kuaishou short video platform meets the psychological needs of rural teenagers to explore the world and present themselves.Secondly,a variety of symbolic representations such as head name,thumb up comments,action words and scene special effects jointly build up the image of rural teenagers' Kuaishou,and construct a unique narrative framework of rural teenagers by means of the presentation forms of situation imitation,drama class cooperation and PK competition.However,due to the poor upbringing background and immature physical and mental foundation of rural teenagers,as well as the emerging media characteristics that the supervision of Kuaishou Short Video Platform has yet to be improved,there are still many problems in the self-presentation behavior of this special group on Kuaishou Short Video Platform.The logic of the short video algorithm with traffic as the king also frames the rural teenage users,caters to the rigid preferences,focuses on rendering suffering,blindly judging ugliness and other creation phenomena grow barbarously;Emotional interaction,opinion splitting,reverse self-presentation and other irrational communication phenomena are prevalent.The self-presentation of quick short video of rural teenagers groups presents difficulties such as the loss of individual identity,the imbalance of interpersonal interaction,and the negative impression management.In view of this,we should strengthen media literacy education for rural teenagers from three levels,namely platform,school and village collective,and enhance the guidance for their self-presentation of fast short video.To sum up,Kuaishou provides a platform for rural teenagers to express themselves,present themselves,interact with themselves,and recognize themselves.Rural teenagers integrate adolescent expectations and confusion into the practice of short video narration,although some works still have negative phenomena and extreme presentation problems.However,the enthusiasm of this group to actively demand the right to speak,construct themselves,and interact with society should not be obliterated.Correction and guidance rather than suppression are the main attitudes throughout the full text.
