Micro-Structured Fibers(MSF),due to its flexible structure and unique optical properties,is not only widely used as the transmission medium of light,but also plays an important role in the field of fiber sensors.Surface Plasmon Resonance(SPR)technology has many advantages,such as high sensitivity and strong real-time performance.The MSF-SPR sensor,which combines MSF and SPR technology,shows good application prospect and research value,and has obvious advantages in wavelength sensitivity and detection range.Temperature measurement plays an important role in the fields of biomedicine,industry,agriculture and environmental detection.It can be seen that the research of MSF temperature sensor based on SPR technology is of great significance.A double coating with side polishing temperature sensor is proposed in this paper.The optical fiber has two polished surfaces which are perpendicular to each other.The polished surfaces are coated with silver material,and the outer side of the silver film is coated with silicon dioxide,which can not only prevent silver oxidation,but also improve the sensing performance.Comsol software based on finite element method is used to simulate and analyze the effects of air hole size,silver film thickness,whether silicon dioxide layer is added and its added thickness on the performance of MSF temperature sensor.For the temperature sensor whose temperature sensitive material is ethanol chloroform mixture,the optimal structural parameters are selected for simulation,and it is calculated that the temperature detection range is 10??60?,the maximum temperature sensitivity is 20.2nm/?,and the temperature resolution is 4.95×10-3?.Due to the limited detection range of the temperature sensor designed by the ethanol-chloroform mixture,a temperature sensor based on polydimethylsiloxane is proposed.The temperature detection range of the sensor is 60??160?,the maximum temperature sensitivity is up to 18.7nm/?,and the temperature resolution is 5.3×10-3?.The MSF-SPR temperature sensor designed in this paper is not only easy to manufacture,but also has a wide temperature detection range and a high sensitivity.The temperature measurement range after the sensor combination is 10??160?,which has a superior application prospect in the fields of environment,medicine,industry and agriculture.
